All the small books are going somewhere else because they do not have the cash to pay the taxes imposed by the Costa Rican goverment. The legitimate books are staying. If by any chance you are doing bussiness with a book that is heading out CR, you better dwell on it if wether or not continue doing bussiness with them.

pooyoo - what are you talking about. Some of the "possible" books that are leaving have paid their taxes.

MANY of the books that are definately staying have NOT.

You've got BAD INFO.

I know that we have looked into Panama, and there is a chance we may move.

When I say we, I mean MVP, Legendz, and BHB. We were the first books to pay the license in CR, and to be honest 60k is not a big expense for us.

Your comment on avoiding books that move couldnt be further from the truth. If in fact we do move, we are still more secure than many of the books that will not.

One has NOTHING to do with the other. If your statement were true then BHB would be a risk if we move. However, if we didnt have the proper finances why would we be one of the first to pay the license this year? At a MINIMUM we would stay this year. (since we already paid)

If in fact we do move it will be because we will be able to offer better quality service to our players.

I will let you all know when a decision has been made.

Thanks

I think that if books start leaving Costa Rica it is the smartest thing they could do. The license is the most expensive piece of toilet paper you will ever hang on your wall. It will not change the banking broblems, Western Union problems, IRS, FBI which Costa Rican books are facing now. What is it for? The license is not going to stop anyone from being indicted. look at the owner of CRIS. How far did his license get him? There are a few countries out there with open arms waiting for books to come over there. It makes no sense to pay for a license that will do nothing other than put you on the radar for Big Brother to see. If you think about all the other countries that have the red carpet out for the books why pay this corrupt Govn't just because they are getting greedy.

Yeah, I agree

Here it's all set up, everything is working just fine, why go through all the aggravation of moving, finding new clerks, dealing with new political problems, and leaving behind all the comodities that Costa Rica has to offer. I know there's a lot of bullshit to put up with here, but it's a very stable Latin American country.

Any book that leaves Costa Rica will regret it. I said this a long time ago, I say it again.
