I dont know how the ML moved during the day but at 3 minutes till game time O-E had the better # on Colorado (-100)... Compared to Pinnacle, 5Dimes & Canbet.

Everyone needs to look at O-E... for they do hang a different/better # from time to time even with 20c lines.

Its absurd to play 20 cent lines, yeah maybe once a month you may get lucky and get a different line but on average it will cost you a fortune. If you liked the Rocks you could have had them most of the day + at Pinny and at Blue Marlin Sports the Rocks never went below the +100. Playing 20 cent lines is not smart, I just don't know how to put it any other way.

>Its absurd to play 20 cent lines

That is an absurd statement

Does *NOT* matter if it's a 50c line... if the ML of the side I want is 'better' than other places.

>yeah maybe once a month you may get lucky
>and get a different line

Luck has nothing to do with it. It's called shopping around.

>If you liked the Rocks you could have had
>them most of the day + at Pinny and at
>Blue Marlin Sports the Rocks never went

(If memory serves) Pinnacle had Colorado -106, 5Dimes -102 & Canbet -104 at 3 minutes till game time (when I was looking) whereas O-E had -100. So tell me which book had the best line for a Colorado bettor at the time?

OK Dante from last night

10 c lines
Anaheim -120 Baltimore + 110

20 Cent line the same game
Anaheim -126 Baltimore + 106

In this case, either side was better with the dime line

I did find ONE with a slightly better side

Dime Line
Toronto -157 ChiSox +147

20 cent Line
Toronto -156 Chisox +136

You could have saved 1c on 1 game on the board.

I'll have to admit, I don't spend that much time viewing my 20 cent lines. Somtimes they are a little slow to move.

Hope this helps

Yes, occassionly one will find a good number on a 20 cent line, but very seldom. It is ok to use a book with a 20 cent line if you have lots of other outs using a dime line. But, if you were to use solely a book using a 20 cent line throughout the season instead of one using a 10 cent line, you would be committing suicide almost on a daily basis. I know there are lots of newcomers to this board who have never bet on baseball before. THIS IS DIRECTED AT YOU........FIND A PLACE THAT DEALS A DIME LINE!!

Frank, Obviously math is not your strong point! Maybe, you just like shopping all day and hoping you can catch some shop with 20 cent lines with their pants down to beat them for a few pennies. If you can't figure out playing 20 cent lines is ludicrous and fruitless by all means suit yourself keep playing them. But for someone whom is just starting to gamble baseball or wants solid advice, find a shop with a dime line or better. I think there is a hidden agenda here of sorts to be advocating playing at a shop with 20 cent lines, enough said!

You're wrong. If a shop deals a 80c line but happens to have the best price on a game, who gives a shit what it is?

If you are insiauting that for someone who ONLY has ONE SHOP funded it should be one which deals 10c, then you are correct. But otherwise you are soo wrong.

As always, you are most welcome.
I am learning here as well, it's nice to be able to share some knowledge (especially if I don't get flamed for it becuase its wrong).

That is the best thing about the RX, the sharing of information, knowledge, and of course, the H.I.P!!!

This is really pretty simple.

You don't want your only outlet to be a 20 cent shop, for obvious reasons.

Other than that

It's quite simple. Have at least a couple of 10 cent shops at hand. And from there (whether it is a 20 cent shop, a 50 cent shop or a 1 cent shop), FIND THE BEST LINE. Period!

Strut, docdekay, and Fat Frank are correct. Who gives a rat's ass if they have 50 cent lines if they have a good number and/or are slow to move ?
---------------------------------------------

If it's your only shoppe, 20 cent lines are a no-no.

On the other hand, if you have some books in your toolbox that deal 20 cent lines, you will occasionally find some good numbers (although you obviously have to look a lot harder).

On another note, eric, I believe that you were correct about Pinnacle's Colorado number being +100 or better most of the day (I think it dropped to -102 for a bit, but went back up).

I am not insinuating, I agree that once in a blue moon you can find a better line at a 20 cent line shop but overall it is suicide. And hell maybe your right a shop with 80 cent lines but overall its a ridiculous notion to play at shops with 20 cent lines and hope for a mistake. The "majority" of the time playing at a book with a dime line or better will net a player better results. I do play at multiple shops but I only play at shops with a dime line or better, I refuse to play at 20cent line shops on principle alone, but life is a series of choices and if you are convinced that playing at 20 cent line shops is a lucrative decision by all means keep throwing your money at 20 cent lines and hoping you can catch them on a soft # when dealing 20 cent lines. I have better things to do with my time and money.

Its your money and your time, I am a benovolent man and I am trying to help the general novice with sound advice. The best option is to find books that deal dime lines or better, meaning less than a dime line!!! And it is my opinion that playing at shops with 20 cent lines is a waste of time.

When you find the shop that deals 80 cent lines and has a line better than a 10 cent shop, give us a ring, cause this I wanna see.

In conclusion; don't play at shops with 20 cent lines, period!

Completely agree with the majority opinion here.
There are books out there with 20 cent lines that you can find big prices on dogs everyday.

Doesn't mean they are safe though. Its all about value.
Don't expect a shill to understand that you are finding better lines at 20 cent shop than at his book with a dime...

Yeah, I read about the fire on the Newfoundland ferry.

I went over a couple of summers ago when they had the high speed ferry, only 2.5 hours to Porte-aux-Basques ... Drove all the way up the north coast through Gros Morne National Park to St. Anthony ... a long drive, but WICKED scenery, and no traffic .. highly recommended.
