The Red Sox just needed to acquire another quality arm and I like the potential KIM brings to the table. He will love the run support he will get in Boston.
Also, this frees up David Ortiz to get some more at-bats for the Bosox. This guy is a quality hitter and will provide more power to a an allready devasting line-up.

KIM, this guy is WAY over-rated as Boston fans will soon find out as did Anaheim, Cleveland and Phoenix fans...particularly when pitching against division foe YANKS, who must be happy about this trade as much as the D'back's...who (IMO) received the much better end of this trade.

I feel for the Red Sox fans in much the same manner as White Sox and Cub fans.

Yep, at least they understand where their weak-links are located...while the entire league is watered-down with AAA arms...San Diego comes immediately to mind.

Pitching is the most important aspect of a team's long-term success...KIM is an average pitcher, and less than an average pitcher when the situation is most crucial.

He will break a lot of Bo Sox hearts before the end of the season...you heard it here first.

Wow Spive, I could not disagree more on your assessment of Kim.

This guy has absolutely wicked stuff, and was very effective as a starter for AZ - he just didn't get much run support. That will be different in Boston. They are saying now that he will be in the rotation, but chances are they are going to move this guy back to the closer role eventually. Either way, he can pitch.

Yes, he blew a couple of saves 2 years ago against NY. So what??? You have to realize he was just 21 at the time. I would cut the guy a little slack given the pressure of being in the World Series in a foreign country against the Yanks. As for Hillenbrand, the Sox aren't going to miss him much. They are loaded at the corners. Last I checked, Bill Mueller was hitting over .380 and they have K. Millar/D. Ortiz, etc.

Make no mistake, this was a great trade for Boston. AZ gets help at 3B, but they will regret trading B H Kim.
