I know there sportsbook have bad numbers but I have to say that when I go to Manadalay Bay sports book it is AWESOME. great atmosphere. A few years ago when Florida played Michigan St for the NCAA title the atmosphere was electric.

It has the atmosphere that the new casino just don't have. Go there and you will see old guys who have been coming to bet since the place opened. It might not be the most modern but it just 'feels" right

Caesars Palace.

I used to love walking around in my younger day and watch the action.

Watched a guy walk up to the wheel, pull out 5k and lose it on 2 spins. Pulled out another 5k from a different pocket. Gonzo. He reached into 6 different pockets at 5k a pop and dropped 30k in 30 minutes. Fired up a smoke with a steady hand, never flinched, and walked away. Some things you never forget. That was 20 years ago.

I would have to say that Treasure Island is the place to be, great atmosphere, and a decent book. The Venetian is also not bad when is comes to comps and free booze.

I got to Harrah's to at least stay, as they pay for my airfare as well as room for the time that I am there. But I can usually only stay about 4 nights in a row for free. not including a Saturday night, but sometimes they will comp Saturday as well.

Anyway, does a nice room matter anyway, it is not like anyone does alot of sleeping in between betting, drinking and going to the all nude bars!!

Bal:
Caesars still gets a lot of the really high rollers. In April, saw a guy in their main casino area betting 30K a hand at 21.
I'm a 'mid-roller' at best, but its nice to play in a place that isn't sweating big action.
Its the belief that if I catch the right night that I can ramp up and that all is possible is what made Las Vegas what it is. So many of the casinos in LV(including many large new ones) have forgotten this. Hell, you can play slots and go blind looking at wheels anywhere(better yet stay home and buy a lottery ticket)its large live action on thetables and in the sportsbooks that give most guys a reason to gamble and to go that desert!

Most of the sportsbooks are all about the same during foobtall season........Lots of guys hanging out watching all the screens, hollering, yelling, cursing, celebrating, jumping up and down, throwing things..... Pure adrenaline and excitement!!
