The poor, poor "victims" of PTS could have accepted all three packages, and nearly tripled their lost money.

Why oh why couldn't I have been a "victim" ?

How do you get a bonus from Rio?

Hal, you live in a fantasy world.

"Hal, you live in a fantasy world."

cecil:

Is this a fantasy:

1. Lose $500 at PTS (-500)
2. Olympic gives you $500 (+500)
3. AllWorld gives you $500 (+500)
4. Gamblers Avenue gives you $500 Match Play. They had Detroit Moneyline +300 in their last game versus the 76'ers, while other shops had 76'ers -300. Bet $500 Match Play on Detroit +300 at GA, bet $1,125 Match Play on 76'ers elsewhere at -300, and (no matter who wins) you've converted your $500 Match Play into $375 Cash (+375).

Add 'em up:

PTS -500
Oly +500
AW +500
GA +375
---------------
Net +875

Lose $500 ... get back $1,375

Not fantasy, cecil, just math ... JUST MATH !!

No, its a scam, which you have no evidence that anyone has done, and I doubt is even possible...

How is it a scam ??

If you are replying to what I posted, my scenario is certainly not a scam, and certainly was used by a number of the PTS bettors.

It's not a scam because all 3 of the bailout books have stated that the offers were not mutually exclusive - if you took the GA offer, for example, Mr. Silver stated on this forum that he didn't care if you also took the Olympic and/or AllWorld bailouts.

"marc", by his own admission here and at Bet2Gamble, has stated that he has taken both the Olympic and Gamblers Avenue bailouts. I think he said that the only reason he didn't also take the AllWorld bailout was because he was an existing customer, and the AllWorld deal was only good for new customers. So it's not a scam, cecil, the 3 bailout books don't care if you take any of the other offers.

The only thing that would have prevented people from taking advantage of multiple offers is a lack of bankroll, and a lot of the PTS bettors have a much, much bigger bankroll than what they lost at PTS.

Halifax,

Regardless i think most gamblers who got the shaft really did not want to deal with sending there money elsewhere..Also understand that the money they sent is dead money.. and new money and must be rolled so much that they are really not getting that great of a deal.

also i like Mr Silver alot but..His offer of a bailout really was not..Do the math and you will see about 20% bonus at the end of the road.

Of course ... a lot of the PTS bettors do not fit into the situation I outlined, but a high percentage probably do.

Hal, there is a difference between being owed $1000 and taking $500 at Oly, and $500 at Allworld to what you are saying. You are saying players are getting more than they are owed.
All I know is, I got less than owed, and I lost it just like the last bailout. I want to thank Oly for bailing me out twice in my life, and I lost both times.
If there are players taking more than they are owed, it would be a scam imo and I would like to know who these players are.
The gamblers avenue deal was not a bailout imo but a big bonus, which I had no interest in...

cecil, this is exactly what I am saying. Obviously, not everyone (and not you), but a good-sized chunk of them.

Hal,

Let me set the record straight. I was owed $1771 by PTS. I got $1000 from OLY, with no deposit required and a 10x rollover. I got a $1771 match play bonus from gamblersavenue with a 10x rollover, and i had to deposit $1771 at GA. So if we do the math, and say that $100 match play = $75 cash. Than for my $1771 deposit I got a $2328 bonus. Which in order to keep I have to give a tota of $45420 in action.

So yes, in theory did i make $550 in bonuses more than I lost. Yes, but at a cost of $45,000 in action. So given the chocie of having been a victim at PTS and getting the extra $550, or not having been a victim, hands down i wish I hadn't had any money there. And if I recall correctly my post at bet2gamble, I believe i said, and I still believe it, that it would take at least 3 "bailout" offers to feel like you've come out even.

...or quickly remedy the situation by scalping/middling out in a couple of bets, if lucky

Halifax,

Took 4 bets to get my oly account down to 0. But true to my word that i gave Wally at Oly, I re-upped my account with another dime. Lost it, re-upped again, lost it, and re-uped again, of which I only have $200 remaining. So Oly definitely profited off of me. As for GA, I used the match play funds, plus I gave them $15,000 in action so far, and still have $4000 in my acct. So there's a good chance they will get all of their action. (used my matchplay money on dogs and won.

)

Now, had I been a Canadian, than I could've stopped payment to PTS on my credit card and scored. But again, considering the allworld bailout was only available to new custmoers, and Oly was only going to match up to your final deposit, and GA was a 10x roll, I'd say very few people profited.
