Please give me your thoughts on the following...

1) Are "quarter plays" in NCAAF gimmick plays which are not worthy of any rollover and\or bonus points credit?

2) Does a system that allows the accumulation of bonus points\rollover credit on quarter plays qualify as a "software glitch"?

3) If nothing is stated in the rules regarding the above, does the book have the right to say "F you" and keep $4K in already accumulated bonus points\rollover credit?

Let me know if I'm missing any details-I've had several online conversations with the player, and I'm waiting for you to justify your claims.

Shrink....does anything that I have posted contradict what you & Devil were told during the conference call with the player?

(Corrected to reflect the correct participants in the conf. call)

TTinco,

I do not recall ever having any conference call with Russ, The Player & CRIS.

What I do remember is telling Mickey from CRIS exactly how I felt and he said he didn't care about honoring the bonus points to the player because he had determined the player to be sharp, and not worthy of any bonuses or perks.

I also spoke with several other bookmakers who Mickey respects about this situtation and finally, I was told that the player got rewarded what he so obviously deserved...

Shrimk what are you trying to say? Are you saying you neve talked to the guy because I think there were posts that said you did and if you didnt why are we just hearing this now?
And what do you mean "I also spoke with several other bookmakers who Mickey respects about this situtation and finally, I was told that the player got rewarded what he so obviously deserved..." does this mean that you talked to Micky's bookie friends and that Micky's bookie friends all agree that Micky did the right thing?

Shrink, can you elaborate on this? Are you saying that the player was eventually paid the $4K that he had earned?

TTinCO & Hetwood,

Yes,

It is my understanding that CRIS eventually payed the gambler that "bonus" money he was entitled to...

That's great. I hope it's true. I respect SHRINK enough to believe it.

Thanks

Thanks Shrink....I'm waiting to hear from the player regarding him ever receiving full payment.

NOTE: The conference call was with the Shrink, the player & Devil....not Russ and\or Cris.

p.s. Was any software "bug" ever mentioned in the conversations that you had with Cris? I find it very odd that this has come up so late.

Thanks

I was just informed by the player that this is 100% FALSE.

Something really smells fishy here.......

Perhaps there is more than one bettor who didn't get paid his bonus money at CRIS. The person I did a story on was owed $4,000 in bonus money by CRIS and has not been paid. I spoke with him again this week to confirm this, and he said he has not received his bonus money. He did receive the rest of his post-up money. Perhaps that is where some confusion may be.
I asked Mickey about not paying this person the bonus money when I was originally researching the story. Mickey said he wasn't paying the bonus to him as a matter of principle because he believed the player to be sharp and a 'gimmick' type of bettor who didn't fit CRIS' description of a loyalty customer. I attempted to talk to Mickey a couple of weeks ago on an unrelated story and he refused to talk to me. So much for trying to be fair and attempting to get both sides of a story.

"He did receive the rest of his post-up money."

I can't remember EVER reading that they withheld some of his post-up funds, too.

Thanks Mr. Nover. We are both talking about the same poster-and there are others.

"didn't fit CRIS' description of a loyalty customer".....That's a good one. As you probably already know, this player rolled over a half mil at Cris.

Would anyone else like to tell me that there is more to this story, that the player was trying to scam them, or any of the other accusations that have been thrown out relating to this case?

Far too often, players come here to bitch about getting screwed, only to later be exposed as a scammer-That is not the case here.

This certainly is a big blow to the Costa Rican shills who routinely tout CRIS as being a TOP BM.

Now, if the "so called" TOP Costa Rican BM is a bonus stiff, what's that say about all other Costa Rican BM's?

With possibly a few exceptions (Judge/Dime) they're all criminals down there IMO.

I don't know about anyone else...but I continue to find comfort in AVOIDING ALL Costa Rican BM's.

Go ahead CR Shills...make my day...flame away defending your CRIS STIFF!
