If I belived this I would gladly play the Yankees + 170 ACTION and then by back Boston at whatever later on.

Problem is that every book still has Martinez listed. Even Olympic.

I've never bet a game "Action" before. This rule at olympic always scared me.

"*Choosing an action bet (options 2, 3, or 4) might lead to an adjusted price if the starting pitcher does not start the game since the original price was based on the listed (advertised) pitcher starting the game."

Maybe i've been reading it wrong, but I always assumed that meant they could change odds I bet at after I bet. That seemed very dangerous to me.

Like if I take Yankees "Action" at +170, and Pedro is replaced with Gimpy McTripleAAA then do I get to keep my bet at +170? Can olympic arbitrarily change it? Should I just have a bullet put in my head for betting baseball at Olympic anyhow?

If the listing changes and you chose "action" then I think they can set the price at "market value" for you ...

... ALWAYS choose LISTED.

If you want to bet this, do it at Intertops or Gamebookers. Their Action bets maintain their original odds if there is a pitching change.

if you bet the yanks +190 action and martinez does not start, you will end up with yanks -150 or something. trust me, you do not want to make this play.

My question is then why does DannyMay think he's "robbing the book" by betting action +170 on the yanks.

Won't the book just adjust it to for example -110 (or worse) if a different pitcher is used?

BTJ, From Cascade: "Note: In the event there is a pitching change prior to the game,
money odds may be adjusted. If one scheduled pitcher starts agains an unscheduled pitcher, "ACTION" wagers will be computed by the opening price with the new pitcher.A pitcher is deemed a starting pitcher after throwing one pitch."

ACTION or LISTED PITCHERS.... either way, your bet will not stand the way you initially selected it..

Intertops maintains the original odds on their Action bets (actually Peep tipped me off to this some months back).

Gamebookers does not even mention the pitchers on their baseball bets. The odds do not get adjusted.
