Just watched a great show on the Travel Channel called "High Rollers." (Yes I have a job it was a day off)..anyway it wasn't a show that focused on "whales" it was more like professional poker players who I guess make enough $$$ to live on and do well, as well as yuppies who go to the Hard Rock and party in pajamas and drop $50-100,000 or so. Also had a lawyer who was an amatuer poker player but he had $$$. He represented Tyson and some other stars before. They filmed him at the "high limit" poker room of the Bellagio (I think it was $15,000 to get into a game.) He won and actually beat some pro's on that day. Also a pro poker player hosts a golf tourney every year and all kinds of side bets go on. 2 guys bet $100,000 on one hole but it was a push(both put it in the water) Another bet was a $5,000 "sprinkler head" bet where one guy said someone would land on a sprinkler head during the tourney and the other guy said no. The "no" guy won. Anyway....what a life. Drinking, gambling and hanging out with beautiful women all day in Vegas and California...while most of us work for a living...great show though. I think tonight they are going to have a Pro Poker show on, can't remember what time.
