Sir Charle’s LOCK CALL in last night’s Mav’s verse Kings game was based upon Dallas Maverick’s star D. Nowitzki’s pre-game comments, in which Nowitzki stated that “tonight’s game is a free swing.” Charles correctly “read between the lines” of such comments, which indicated a team attitude complacency following the Maverick’s previous night’s double over-time victory.

Charle’s also correctly (IMO) differentiates such competitive attitudes between those GREAT teams, which seek to win ALL play-off games and those GOOD teams, which merely seek splitting play-off road games.

Just a GREAT lesson in what one should look for when attempting to “predict” a particular team’s pre-game attitude and probable up-coming performance.

Special note to THE SHRINK: GREED is an admirable attitude/trait of the competitive winner.

Winning is an attitude, in all walks of life.

I had a talk with a guy I am working with who felt underappreciated. He comes in at 6:30 am, takes a short lunch at his desk, and leaves at 4pm on the dot. Does a good job, and gets everything done he is supposed to.

I told him if he worked for me, I would NEVER give him above a satisfactory rating and a below average raise. Why, he portrays himself as an employee, content to do what he has to, as opposed to doing what needs to be done. NOthing wrong woth employees, but employees are seen as replaceable. He lacked the initiative and deication of a winner.
