I placed all but 1 of my bets today online in the morning. I decided to wait before playing the vikings game so i could get +7. I had to be out of the house at noon but i figured i wo uld just call them at 1230. So i started to call at 1230, 1235, 1240, 1245, 1246, 7, 8, 9,1250, and every second after that. An annoying busy signal is ALL i get. I figure that this sucks, but that i am sure that once i get through they will take my bet on the vikings since they must be aware that the lines have been busy. I know that ESB (Which i know now sucks) had taken a bet from me like that before since they were aware of the phone troubles they were having and every local book i have used would accept a late bet also in those circumstances. by the time i got through at 1:05 they would not accept the bet. I know that if the lines were NOT busy, they would definitely NOT accept my bet and i wouldnt ask them too.

I spoke to this guy at customer service named bobby who told me that there is nothing he can do, but that the manager would be there on monday! Why would the manager be off on the busiest day of the week at the busiest time??? what kind of operation are they running anyway?

It was just a 150, but its the principal. Its not like i am asking for a thousand dollars. I would HATE to have real money on the game in the future and run into the same problem.

I only picked olympic because they were soo highly recommended on the RX. Now i am wondering why everyone is recommending them? ARe the people that prop up olympic working for olympic?? and i would like a good reason why i shouldnt take my money out entirely. I know that if they dont give me my play, i will withdraw ASAP.

I'd just place my bet on the fricking internet. I don't understand phone people, unless you are betting such high limits that you are forced to by the book.

-Phones take a lot longer
-Hard to understand clerks
-You can't call every five minutes to see what the line currently is. (well you could, but you'd be an ass)
-Hard to call in bets with girl/wife in the room compared to click-click-type
-Phones waste the books money. Ideally this would not be the concern of the gambler but I am realistic about the industry.
-Probably more that I can't think of

Really, what is the disadvantage of the internet for the $150 bettor?

Lodge my complaint till after the game??? so i was supposed to RUN home to get to a computer before complaining??? sorry if i have a life guys but i just got home. And i filed a complaint with olympic at 1:07. Is that soon enough?? or should i have lodged the complaint yesterday just in case this happened???

I usually wait to place my bets late to get the advantage of linemovement. BUt i guess all of you guys are on the Olympic payroll so i guess i have no shot with you guys. And i guess if you want to place late plays olypic isnt the place.

i have been posting here for a while now and i havent been posting just so i can lodge a complaint over a 150 dollar play. If anyone doesnt believe me you are entitled to email me at aj32@aol.com anytime. If you choose NOT to email me then you should shut up and mind your own business. But my guess is that none of you will email me because your sole job is to defend the all mights olympic sports!

When encountering those kinds of busy signals I would suggest just calling the cust service number 1-888-fast-bet and asked to be transfered to wagering. A 20 min constant busy signal is "rare" and you might be "pushing" the truth just a little, no?

Wally does not work on Sundays and by choice. I doubt that you'll be able to claim anything tommorow 11/18 since it's a little late to place that wager on Minny. Lastly, you might want to consider just laying the -120 and buy up to 7. This way you would be assured of getting in on time and not having to worry about your wager. The difference is only about $11.00 and that's not too much for you is it?

Just read your post again and are you SERIOUS about pulling out if they don't honor your "mind" wager? If you are really considering doing that I'm sure Spiro would be glad to send you your remaining balance and tell you to try your scam elsewhere. As all offshore books supposedly comply with Vegas rules and regs. Let me know which Vegas book(that always has long lines) will let you place a wager after the game has started and I'll be there tommorow night for the STL/CHI game with bells on!

primetime, You can get your $150 back over the course of a few years if you switch internet providers. AOL is a big ripoff.

I agree, and if you ask olympic you will see i placed 6 wagers in the morning because those lines were all in my favor. I thought the only one that i would get help on was minny so i waited. Is that a crime? i place 95 percent of my wagers on the internet, but i have a life i have a job and i am getting married in 10 days, i think you guys can cut me some slack...unless you are paid to do otherwise.

THomas you are funny, but if you COULD read you would see that ESB (an awful book) once took a late bet of mine because THEIR phones were busy. If you choose to run a business then do it right. Dont have a phone system and then not have enough lines. i called 3 different Olympic numbers and couldnt get through, i didnt know that i could call the customer service number. BUt that is of GREAT help NOW!

prime, sorry, I missed that in the start of your post. I understand your situation a little better, so I agree if you couldn't get through by gametime you are entitled to be pissed at the service they provided. However, you are not entitled to be pissed about them not letting you past-post.

And why cant a guy wait to get a better line? is that a crime? we should all get our bets in sunday night 7days before the game and before we hear about injuries and line movement? hahaha, you are frickin funny. give me a break slim you are losing whatever credibility you once had.

The fact that it is a 150 dollar bet shouldnt matter. Its what i feel comfortable playing. I am sorry slim if i have a real job and i dont need to win 10,000 a week on football.
