Dicky,

Got bored and decided to research. Here is the answer I was given. Hope this helps.

"In response to your question, I called and talked to the state inspector and he informed me that the reason was probably due to the wrong program being on the scoreboard. The state judge would have noticed that they started out in the wrong sequence and they would have had to stop and reset the computer. If the scoreboard was set for a 7 point game - and it was really a 9 point game-they would have had to have a game reset - or vice-versa. That would have been the only reason."

Thanks alot bud very helpful, Have'nt bet a ton of jai alai but thats the first time I have seen a game reset

Your welcome. I thought originally a game reset was where they stopped the game to rig up the cesta so the bastard drops the pelota on the next heave. /infopop/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif That's been my experience with that damn game.

Or the player who was originally suppose to cheat changed his mind in the middle of the game.

I have an aquaintance in VEGAS who has claimed to have made quite alot of money on Jai Alai here in Florida by manipulating the pari-mutual pools.

The guy is one of the most successful gamblers in the world, so I believe him.

There's a very good book on betting Jai Alai. A programmer developed a statistical model, and automated betting on it. I think most Barnes and Noble bookstores carry it, but I can't remember the book's name.

fishead,
how?

jai-alai is fun I have been a lot.

I read about someoen who made a lot of money at jai-alai, but it was a complicated situation I can't remember. basically he found a way to get incorrect payouts by betting trifectas or something at one fronton for games on simulcast at another fronton.

I can tell you that at Dania at least once a day they stop the game in the middle and reopen betting with new win/place/show pools.

All you need to know, is that Jai-alai is rigged. None of the players have an ounce of integrity.

It is funny to see the same guy who just missed an easy catch, climb up the wall on the next point and make the play.

Do not waste your time.

Wow, I've seen thousands of games, never saw a re-set. Did it happen within the first few points ?

Another reason I can think of is if the wrong player came onto the court, and a point was played. I haven't seen it happen, but almost !
