Ok.....Ok......Go ahead, give it to me guys just as they have!

I'm about to spill the beans.How do you deal with the consequences of purchasing Barry Manilow tickets & your coworkers somehow finding out about it?!

Fact is, I like music....period....all kinds of music, my whole life. Pop, counry, r&B, and yes, even rap(though not near as much as several years ago). How can you not like hits like Mandy, I write the songs, & I can't smile without you?! Barry is the shiznit!

Problem is I'll never hear the end of it now

first off - they probably will have figured that out when they find out you bought the tix

and also - you will take a lot less ridicule for being gay than going to a Manilow concert

Don't sweat it Hachismo....Barry Manilow is a bit extreme but at the same time I am sure he is a great show...

P.S. Is 'Mandy' your favorite or 'Copa Cabana'?

lol J~Man,had to throw that pic up there hugh? Actually he's a great, down to Earth guy.I wonder Still to this day what makes an individual considered "gay" just because the type of music he may or may not listen to. Not a "big" fan of Elton, but like some of his songs, like Nikita(?), same goes with Rod Stewart. Ive just always been amazed by guys who always feel they have to develop an image of themselves that will be perceived as "macho" to others......

Hache, I find it admirable actually....and totally agree...however I'd be the first to admit if I had ABBA "Dancin Queen" cranked and I came to a stop light, I'd have to turn down the volume lol

I actually saw a Manilow concert at the Riviera Hotel in Vegas back in the 80s. Of course it was a comped Vegas showroom thing with lots of booze. I remember little.

Even the lady at the ticketbroker I called to inquire about them was laughing at me! LOL.... I jokingly told her they were for my mother, and she just laughed and said sureeeee they are!

She laughed even harder when she saw the ridiculous price they were going for immediately after she told me they havent had much interest from customers.......

J~Man, I don't believe he is gay. I'll be honest with you, as I said, Im a music~lover in general, all kinds. I've heard some of his songs in the past, but never thought a lot about it. Ok, the other day he was on Oprah,and performed. It showed all these freakin ladies that have idolized him since they were little girls and are still crazy about him! There are even very young girls that are crazy about this guy. He could snap his finger and bam, there they are. It was amazing to me. But the fact that he is/was so down to Earth & humble was cool to me, and those songs were actually pretty cool after hearing them again. You're talking about a guy who wrote his own classics like "I Write The Songs" & "Mandy". Have you ever actually listened to the words of "I Write The Songs"?? Its Brilliant writing! So, coincidentally he's in Tampa next month, and I havent been to a concert for years since NSync (JOKING!

).....so I thought I'd give it a shot......

Hache..I have seen him on Oprah, usually he'll do a medley of songs....you forget how many hits til you hear them...I can't say I'd go see him, but if someone gave me seats and I had a free limo, I would go...however if I saw him perform on TV I would watch it ....

Of course i know the words man! I quoted the song 'Miracle' in your honor!?

I remember listening to him when all you could get was AM. LOts of hits. Is he performing at the Magic Arena or HOB.? I sat through Captain and Tenille at Epcot. Remember their TV show.?
