What is the BEST book for you this year

Taking into consideration

strongness of the book
how they treat the small player
if they offer a small bonus or juice reduction for new accts and reups rollovers, etc

I think there might start being some newbee's and hobby gamblers starting to glance at the forums soon this advice from the sharpees here would help greatly...

thanks in advance for any comments

Are you going to be moving your 1000 in and out or are you going to leave it in there for the NFL season?

If you are one of those players that likes to move it around at the end of the day or week, the cost of transfers would be the biggest factor.

VIP, until they boot you (which they will if you have an IQ that is greater than your shoe size).

Depends on the sport...

...if it's baseball:

1. Pinnacle
2. Cascade
3. Intertops
4. 5 dimes

...if it's American football:

1. (tie) Pinnacle
1. 5 dimes
2. Intertops (decent re-up bonus and low juice Friday)

...if it's college hoops:

1. Pinnacle
2. Cascade
3. Olympic

Ice hockey is an anomaly. No book got over 20% of my action. Some books favor certain teams or situations. Thus, having multiple outs helped with regards to lines. Boxing is similar. If you're an over/under or prop bettor, 5 dimes might be your best best but as far as selecting the fight winner, it just depends.

I don't know what "small time gambler" means but those books are decent for the reasons stipulated.

I'd have to think Skybook would be nice. This gambler would be well under the $500 limit for their free half points.

Gave me the heave ho 2 years ago when I was taking there money for a few sizable parlays and then they started to not grade my wagers for hours after the last event had finished. I sent an e-mail and they responded by closing my account and I HAD TO CONTACT THEM, they did'nt even have the gonads to e-mail me back and say that they did not waqnt my action. They got a nasty e-mail back from me and then I had to contact a manager to make sure shit with my pending bets was still in action. Guess they did'nt like the idea of someone posting up one day and withdrawing 5 X as much out the next day and never to re-deposit.

Newbies should look for the cheapest way to get YOUR money back with almost all books charging a fee to get YOUR money.

Pinnacle...Olympic...WSEX. The person with a $1000 or a $1,000,000 bankroll are looking for the same book. A book that pays fast and won't cut your limits if you win a couple of bucks.

If your bankroll is limited to a dime I would grab the biggest bonus at a square book. Try to run up your account and then move into a low juice book like Pinnacle.

You would need to shop around but the list of square books that usually offer the best bonuses are:
VIP (check their family, VIP has not been as aggressive as their sister books.
WWTS (not a square book but will be offering 20% at start of football)
BoDog
Bet365
BetJamaica

DANTE,

I HAVE NOT READ MUCH OF THIS THREAD, BUT IF I WAS NEW. I WOULD PUT IT IN PINNY, WHY THEY MIGHT NOT BE THE EASIEST TO DEPOSIT WITH, ARE VERY HARD TO GET ON THE PHONE,,,ETC.ETC....BUT IN MY OPINION THEY ARE ROCK SOLID, AND A NEWBIE NEEDS THAT. THEY DO NOT NEED A BOOK THAT GOES BELLY UP.......................G.

5 Dimes, Oly, or Pinnacle. You might want to keep some coin in Cris to bang opening #'s for foots a week in advance.
