Olympic bailing out P/Am ?

Per SBR Olympic may bail-out Panam, likely to gain credibility if they re-locate there. That would be nice, though it fills a need for Oly,gaining credibility for Panama, as a gaming locale.

That's my take ! Selling off P/A's "assets" likely yields little revenue for owed players. Now jump thru more hoops, miss them you lose.

What info doesn't already exist, for Panam, TOW, and the Juenta de whatever to complete the pay-off ?

SBR's report is great news to me !

Their was an earlier thread concerning a bail-out offer, by a book, which disappeared. Problem there was this book (2 actually), were "D" books, so post up your owed money, roll it 10X , and hope for payment ! Not attractive, you could reasonably lose double !

I don't need double-bubble-toilet trouble !

I'm one of the few that wasn't directly lead to P/A via here, I'll lay some of the blame on postings at SSB.Opinions here confirmed my poor decision to post-up there.

I don't think this is to be considered a bailout. Olympic surely won't just take over the Panam accounts. They have absolutely nothing to gain by doing that. I'll bet you that 99% of the Panam players are customers at Olympic anyway.

Slash: Olympic might do it. If they want to re-locate to Panama, they must erase negative connections with that country, 500 K might do it ! I hope so !

only wya it would make sense for oly to take over the panam accounts is if it means that the panamanians won't make them post bond. Otherwise, can't see how it could make any sense for oly to do it.

i dont understand why panam was such a shit book? i hope someone bails them out because it's not the country that looks bad its the industry looks bad.. Whatever happened to the 500k bond to cover the player's balances? All sportsbook need to make some conscious effort to make it safer to play offshore..

With all due respect its my firm opinion that such information, unless related to factual outcomes, should have never been released.

Reporters have no clue of what is going on behind the scenes. One very priviledged "insider" had the opportunity to have more than a clue tonight. He might want to post about it.

If Oly did this it would make them the favorite of all the players who would have gotten stiffed.Not that they aren't already. It will also save the Shrink from hearing all this crap about panam folding. The guy isn't an auditor and I think that all the signs on the bugger.I would like to see Oly back here as an advertiser.

Buzzsaw, what do you think will happen? Just asking for an opinion, thats all. I have spent monthes trying to figure all this stuff out regarding Panam and the coveted "licence", that one moment exists, then the next in regards to Panam doesn't.....can you speculate here for me and tell me what you think is gonna happen? Will everyone that is owed a balance wind up paid? Thanks

Clev, pretty much what has already been said. Yes, if Oly is able to set up shop in Panama, I believe the PanAm fiasco will be totally taken care of. ie the players will be paid. I could be wrong, after all, Oly has no responsibility to clean up a failed book just because they maybe move to a country where a book failed. Then again, Oly is not your run of the mill book. The smart money says they force Panama to clean up their mess if they want to land a premier offshore sportsbook like Oly.

But the chances of Oly ending up there is just outright speculation no matter who is doing the typing. Is it a 1 in 5 chance or a 1 in 500 chance? Even the pretend-to-be-in-the-know Roberto doesn't know. I would love to bet a long shot on Curacao landing Oly. No inside info just betting my own hunch. Maybe Rob will throw me a 75 - 1 line?

Even if they do, I'll play through withdraw, and wait at least 3 years, before betting at any book in Panama !

IMO, that cunt-tree is at least as corrupt as Mexico.
