Fish I wom $100 a night in the Navy playing 1 or 2 dollar poker. I have never made the transition to pro and likely never will. Love to play though but I play tight as hell.

Whatever you do Randy, do it easy. Don't let the slow period get you into trying new things that you aren't comfortable with. Even worse would be acknowledging how slow it is. One week is not enough down time for any serious gambler IMO. I think 2 to 3 months a year is needed away so most gamblers pick a sport to go easy on, or pass completely. Getting away from the day to day work and action is great stuff and you don't even realize it until after you get back at it how much the time off pays you many times over. Call me crazy but when I was serious into it, football was my time off. I went to games, made a few small casual bets with friends, but took two seasons off from betting it much. Once I got back to doing sports not so seriously then I got into football again because it was fun, but I still do maintain a good long stretch off does wonders for anyone that takes the game seriously.

WB is exactly right, many pros pull-up after the All-Star break for golf, deep sea fishing, and visiting/vacationing with their wives and family before having to put them back on the shelves when football arrives..it always recharges your batteries!

Selective Fox Saturday morning MLB dogs is a nice way to throw darts in the dark, even if not working MLB at that point in time, as it can be played blind.

Winky is steamrolling the CWS this week, soccerbob and others are playing Euro right now, Rail plus the guys from PST forum always have tennis selections, Fezzik and others always are looking for nice value plays no matter the event,etc..
