After further research and having ample time to think about this situation, I wanted to readdress this situation with the posters at the Rx:

1. V-Wager did in fact owe TheRx April and May advertising and an additional amount of money that was to last through September. The amount for April & May has now been paid in full.

2. V-Wager also owed Millenium for advertising in their publication which was taken care of on Friday, as I understand that Dalton and Norm had a very good meeting.

3. The reported slow pays appear to have simply been blown out of proportion. I don't think that the instances referred to in the thread were slow pays.

4. There was poor communication by BOTH parties. Marty had a tough time getting in touch with V-Wager about payment and I should have followed up with the folks at V-Wager to better assess the situation before posting.

5. V-Wager has been an advertiser of ours for more than 4 years, and I've never heard a legitimate slow-pay/no-pay complaint about them from one of their customers.

I have known Dalton, the CEO of V-Wager, for several years and have ALWAYS known him to be an upstanding businessperson. A long time ago Dalton said to me that he'd advertise on the Rx as long as I was involved with the site. I hope he will understand where I was coming from in this situation & continue to be a longtime advertiser at the Rx.

I truly believe V-Wager and the VO Group books are a sure bet and a safe place to play.

First, let me say I'd like to thank Shrink for the above post.

You, Dalton & myself have known each other for a long time and we're glad to be able to get things back on track. The original thread that mentioned V-Wager has helped open the lines of communication between V-Wager and The Rx Management and brought to light a situation with an advertising partner that needed to be address (& since has).

The fact is that the positive feedback from posters went a long way towards making us realize that The Rx was/is a valuable advertising venue for us.

V-Wager looks forward to a banner football season, and wants to thank everyone who contributed to the recent debate about regarding our solidity. I want to assure all of our current and future players that we are stronger than ever and we’re looking forward to sponsoring several contests at The Rx in the coming year.

Kind regards,

ahhhhh, so they weren't "unable to pay" their ad debts after all?

Is that going to be your last irresponsible accusations post...until the next one?

Very classy response from V-Wager. Nothing personal Ken but if I were in charge of advertising at the V Group I'd tell you to stick it where the sun don't shine.

had I acted rash and lost 4% for nothing...OF

Losing 4% for nothing is not remaining consistently profitable.

I thought this entire episode was SHRINK flexing??? Just here and at the gym...

wtf?

Based on these RX threads you really thought MVP/VWager was in trouble? At worst they might have owed RX and others ad money. Which is funny considering Shrink's most profitable book NASA, ANNUALLY stiffs printers and publications for millions.

I am not saying I don't appreciate information on books in trouble, but agenda shit like this makes all of these warnings suspect.

LOL, too funny. Can The Shrink or one of the other mods please list any other advertisers that are behind on thier payments? That way when The Shrink comes to the forums with some vague claim a book is in trouble we know whether or not to take it serious.

TIA, and keep up the subpar work!!!

I have a hard time to read what has happened between therx and v-wager as negative.

There were admitted problems that have been solved thanks to this harsh discussion. Seemingly these problems, albeit not directly related to players, existed with more than one entity.

As far as players are concerned its good to see v-wager standing up to its obligation, it can only make them stronger.

This is what watchdogs are for. Improve standards to the final benefit of players.

Roberto... are you saying that all the Legal problems with owing money to Caja (according to Ken) and all the payment problems they supposedly had with advertisers and such have all been successfully solved in a day or so?

The readers here are smarter than that and understand what this was all about.

V-Wager

You guys dropped the ball on this one BIG TIME. You being extorted and caved in for what?
This site has always been low on credibility. This latest issue has sunk that level into the nadir of credibility. The Rx has an agenda and unfortunately it's not for us players
icon_mad.gif

V-Wager by going along with the RX and it's demands and threats it just shows how you guys will sleep with anyone. Dalton/Mike Foreman you guys just might want to check your penis after this latest "affair". By "sleeping" with the RX you guys may notice some funny bumps forming on your genitalia. You guys lost tons of credibility in the bussiness with this latest debacle.

Greenie-Great Job at exposing another RX drama. And lets not forget that the losers in this whole situation were the players who on the advice of The Shrink took out thier money AT A COST OF 4% FOR NOTHING!!!
