I really don't care if Boise wins this game by 21. Anyone out there who is laying the 7.5 or 8 and driving this number up has ZERO chance to win $$$ at the end of the year. Win or lose, from a power ratings standpoint, experience standpoint, etc. etc., there simply isn't an 8 point disparity between these teams. Sure, if weird stuff happens, Boise wins and covers. However, in the long run, people who would lay the points in spots like this will be on the street with a tin cup.

Totally agree...let it go up...a school that just went toe to toe with the defending champs on their home field...on paper this line is a joke

You guys should be happy this line is going up if you like OSU.

I am all over Boise. I don't see a huge disparity in talent, OSU would be -4 on a neutral field IMO. But this isn't a neutral field is it? Boise was JOBBED by the refs last year and OSU blemished their perfect record because of that. I think they will take out all of those frustrations against a deflated OSU team that still has their minds in Baton Rouge. Boise and their fans had this game circled since last year and I am satisfied after their rout of Idaho they have reloaded and are not rebuilding.

I agree that quantitatively Boise -7 (what I laid) is an overlay, but the situation is worth the price, IMO.

I love Boise State in this spot & had this game circled since last year. I remember watching last year's game & speaking with a fellow capper. I told him without question I'd be on Boise State next season & I'm sticking with it.

I love getting -6 on it too as I say it should be 9 or 10 personally. The line was OSU -4.5 last season. I find it quite odd imo to see a double digit line change from last year's game when Boise State suffered losses from key positions.

Personally, I'd take the Beavers at +8 1/2. Boise blew out a high school team or something last week and now people think they are a lock to pound a Pac 10 team? Boise St. by 6 was about right I think. And hey I'm right maybe 53% of the time.

WAC champ Boise State sky high for rematch vs. Oregon State following bitter 26-24 loss at Corvallis LY. Broncos battled back from early 13-0 deficit but missed go-ahead 35-yd. FG late in final period. Boise State is 33-1 SU on the "blue carpet" since '99 (22-7 vs. spread), with only loss vs Washington State in '01.

How many times has Boise State beaten a Pac-10 team? Umm.... that would be never. I'm not saying they won't finally win one Friday, but 8 to 8.5 points is too many in my opinion.

It is very hard for a team to recover after losing in the manner that OSU did last week against LSU...

I'd be VERY concerned of a letdown...

Let down is a term that people like Trev Albert will use to cover up a lie like LSU football. When Boise punches OSU in the mouth, they will call it a let down, when in reality Boise is better than LSU by 20 points this year and was better than LSU last year.

TREV ALBERT IS A LYING PIECE OF GARBAGE.

Ryan Dinwiddie got drafted. How many Boise St. players get drafted? I watched him win many H.S. games, playoff games, sectionals and championships. He went to Boise, because of his arm. Incredibly accurate, good pocket presence and very good decision maker. He set the NCAA record in passing eff. Beating Idaho, who lost thier starting QB, both starting RB's and 8! defensive starters is not really impressive. This number pushed is an overreaction. Now Boise has a question mark at QB, a decent defense and Smurf turf. Ore St. has a very good defense, an average offense and probably a new PK. There was immediate damage control over the LSU heartbreaker, but the task still remains, to face an angry revenge minded Boise St. with a much different offense from LSU. To be honest, both of last week's contests will show little if anything relevant to this week's contest. LSU does not compare to Boise St, in anyway. And Idaho, really does not compare to well coached, good defense Beavers. Line is inflated, after inflated number put up. Value on defensive dog. Best Wishes...OF

Well the line move against is ovbious, it is easier to cover an oddball line against a team that can't make a PAT. But I guess if OSU has been practicing 2-pt conversions all week, then the line might be "off" the wrong way.

Who cares about this game anyways? Everyone knoews the line is going to be tainted in more than one way. Revenge from last year (books know that too you know) game after a bad loss from last week (books might take that into account too you know) also second game of a back to back road games( I am sure that was factored in as well). If this game were on Sat people wouldn't even be betting it. But because it is on Fri and there isn't much action guys are coming out of the wood work to play this shitty ass game.

I am really surprised that with the Mia/FSU game going on people are even betting this game, especially since the FSU/Mia game will cut into at least the first half of this game.

But I guess if they put a line up people will bet it.IMO this game sucks for betting purposes.

I won't be betting that one either, but it has a history, and should at least be entertaining. Not sure how entertaining OSU/Boise St will be. Even with all the underlying factors. Not to mention the Mia/FSU game definately has BCS Bowl implecations, not sure that can be said about Boise/OSU.

So in terms of betting, niether is all that attractive, but by default Mia/FSU has the most to offer. So guys that like to have a few bucks on a game they are watching should be more inclined t bet that one than the other.

Yea you have to look back at the LSU game, if the game was played on a completely dried playing field like it will be played in Boise State, Oregon State QB might actually throw 5 INT's in the first half. The guy sucks plain and simple. I know for a fact if the LSU game was not all rainy and slushy, that Oregon State would of gotten blown out. Look for Boise to blow away Oregon State on Saturday because frankly Anderson or whatever his name is doesnt know how to play football.
