Fishhead, my little extension from your post...
-Garciapara's glove and batting helmut gitters..
-Sammy Sosa's hop after he hits a good one (even when it falls inside the park sometimes).
-Barry Bonds kissing and praising the Lord when he steps on home plate.
-Jason Kid blowing a kiss to the hoop on a free-throw.
I have a few more but can't remember their names.
Yes, everyone should have their individuality and I actaully think a few of the above mentioned players will be in a Hall of Fame one day but it's the small stuff that bothers me right now.
Also, a couple years ago a pitcher would throw a ball in the dirt and be happy to get it back because it got scuffed, (possibly change rotation and velocity of the ball). Now, the ball skims the dirt and they get a brand new ball...I know it's 2004, why would a pitcher nowadays mind if they got a scuffed ball. Back in the day they put spit, vaseline, scuffed it with sandpaper, etc....
Basically, it drives me crazy when I see the pitcher get a new ball after every 3 pitches, why? I don't know...
