Fedex Payout-Customs

I know this subject came up before here, but I never had any concerns until now.This is the second time in 2 weeks that My Fedex package has been opened by Customs. For a second I even thought they took the check, but I found it still in there. Don't know if this is good or bad.

How much are your checks for? I would definitely keep them under $10,000 and to be safer under $5000. Or better yet use neteller and avoid the b.s.

Joe I don't think customs are opening the package to see the amounts of checks. I think they are looking for perhaps terrorist type activities. I've had several checks opened by Customs before. I've never gotten a call.

Over the years, it has happened to me a couple of times. But now 2 times in 2 weeks, they opened both.I'm usually pretty fair with this stuff.Coincidence? probably, but I did think it was strange.This time they even cut open the inner envelope to see the check.

hmmmmm....if they cut open the envelope, that might be an eye raiser. I would be a bit careful. Deposit the checks over a period of time, not all at once. If you can wait that long...
