Anybody in Vegas know a good bar/restaurant that caters to fantasy football players? Our league needs to find a new venue.

I dont really understand what Stephen means by CATERING to the fantasy football player.

In what way??

Having televisions with live stats from games perhaps??

Free booze?

Getting free lap dances when a player scores a point on your team??

Stephen, please explain further my friend and I can possibly and probably lead you to some hole in the wall.

Hey Fish:

Our league is looking for a bar/restaurant that has banquet rooms and has experience handling fantasy football drafts.

We've been doing it at Skinny Dugan's (a place I'm sure you frequented during your tenure in Las Vegas) but their rooms aren't available on the dates we need.

We certainly don't want to pay for the room, but we'll give the owner a lot of food and drinks business.

Any ideas? Thanks.

The first two that came to my mind were the TAP HOUSE or one of the BIG DOG HOSPITALITY bars.

Try the BIG DOGs and BOOMERS (on Sirius near Scandia Miniature Golf) and BIG JOHNS (Pecos and Trop)

Thanks Fish and Jdodger for your suggestions. Green you have mail.

I'm familiar with the Tap House. Could have the best chicken wings in Vegas. Also great pizza. Actually did a baseball draft in their banquet room years ago. Would you know Fish if Jimmy is still the owner?

Don't know if the Big Dog bar/restaurants let people do fantasy drafts there. Being from Wisconsin, my favorite always was the Draft House. Great brats! Also great breakfasts.

I haven't been in Big John's bar in nearly 20 years. What's it like? I'm wondering, too, if any hotel might be willing to accommodate our league with a spare meeting room since we're going to hold our draft in mid-week.

Again, appreciate any suggestions. Thanks.

Yeah, my league needs a room to hold its draft, too...oh, wait...it's the same league as Stephen's...as Emily Littella used to say on SNL..."Never mind"

Who will finish higher in the league?
Tuley -150
Stephen +160

And, no, that's not a misprint...all the smart money will come in on me, so I have to offer some value for the suckers will to take the dog

Likewise General. Look forward to meeting you, and seeing my old Rx friends. Keep up the great moderating. I hope to show Dante that I'm not that bad of a poker player by hopefully making the final table of the Rx hold'em tournament. (If we end up with more than two tables playing than I don't like my chances.)

Yes, Green did receive your email. Thanks. I'll send you an email back.

Hello there Mr. Tuley. After holding our football auction at Skinny Dugan's for many years, we're now in need of a new venue. Any thoughts? Regarding your matchup price, could be some value on the 'dog ... LOL ... our league always loves to see a cocky rookie owner.

Hey, Stephen. I'm giving it some thought...I think I might have the perfect place, but have to make a call tomorrow. I'll call you if it pans out.

As for the head-to-head matchup, I should add that my making myself the favorite had relatively little to do with football knowledge or fantasy managerial skill...it's just that I have inside information that says you might have less time to devote to stuff like fantasy football this fall. *wink wink nudge nudge*
