If Richard Hidalgo has a big year with the Mets, it would make Astros hitting coach Harry Spillman look awful. However, there are other factors at play here. Richard was ready for a change of scenery. This was more a divorce than a trade, and both sides needed it.

Both sides did need it.

Astros need to start scoring.

Its beginning to look real bleak.

Hildalgo is a very happy man right now. He was excited to play in NY & he is proving it at this point & time.

He wants to prove the Astros wrong but also has an even bigger incentive & that is the fact he is auditioning himself. He will be a free agent at the end of the season unless the Mets pick up the option on him for next year which they won't. The option is for $15,000,000.

He will get a nice contract if he keeps this up as what better place to audition yourself then in the toughest market for sports, New York.
