How does one maximize their results by following another forum poster’s selections? There is certainly a large subset of people who read the Rx forums mostly to take advantage of the free selections offered by dozens of posters.

Read the rest of Wild Bill's latest column by going to the RX home page at www.therx.com

Also on the home page under "headlines,"
find out the signs of being a gambling addict.

Lots of cappers in the forum. If they are documenting their records, then we can normally fugure who to watch. Personaly, this baseball season, I have looked for a solid record with ANY poster, then hope for their picks to pop-up with a couple nice dogs. Take both. Win one, WIN money. If a decent capper, the edge is definately in my favor that one will hit more often than not.

Good luck all

I just read Wild Bill's article and a lot of it makes sense....

Personally I try to look more at the reasoning behind someone's posted play....

Someone saying "This game is a lock, so drain your bank accounts and knock your grandma's piggy bank over, and throw it all down on Team X".......doesn't mean as much as someone stating that Team X is playing Team Y.....Y lost it's starting QB last week and the backup is horrible, X beat Y on the last three occasions and is now an underdog, take the points..........Something of that nature where some reasoning exists as to why someone likes X over Y.....

I generally play my own picks but I look at other peoples picks and if thier rationing is sound and this looks like a good, sound bet, then I'm in....

.....some people would take that example I gave with Team Y's QB out and having been beat the last three times and being a favorite over X this time....some of these people would look at this and say it looks to good to be true and come up with all the "trap" theories to stay away from the bet......

Maybe its a trap, but then again what if the book just put out a soft/bad number that they initially thought was correct?

Finally a good post.
If you truly want to make money, you have to surrond yourself with high % people.Whether in horses or gambling sports. You have to find the best in the business.Finding them is not easy.
As for the horses will talk about that another day.In sports gambling very few people hit between 60-80%.Maybe .1% of the gamblers. The RX had that type of capper. But 2 idiots got this capper pissed off. Now the RX wont be getting his picks.
Anybody who gives out locks, is out in my book. For example when Shrink gives out a "guarentee".I dont know if hes trying to help the books or if he really likes a certain team.Remember he has to help the ADVERTISERS first. They pay the bills, not me or you.
General if something works for you right on.But picking just the dogs,I disagree. You have to follow them fully. Not with what you like. That doesnt work for me.
Remember surround yourself with winners.People that have that drive to make MONEY.People that hate to lose.If you do that and are honorable you'll become a winner also.

Good feedback.

Basically, if any poster here wants to learn and be a winner, then they have that option. All one has to do is pay attention. It will not come without a little study.
