Diamondbacks star Randy Johnson confronted Luis Gonzalez after he dropped Edgardo Alfonzo's bases-loaded liner to left field for an error that allowed the go-ahead runs to score in San Francisco's 8-3 victory Friday night. When the Diamondbacks got back to their dugout after the inning ended, several players could be seen scurrying quickly toward some activity in the tunnel to the visiting locker room. The team didn't immediately say what had occurred, though the players appeared agitated. Gonzalez was restrained as he tried to follow an upset Johnson into the locker room.

Could this be the pretext that prompts Big Unit to accept a trade to a contender for the stretch run?

I read Randy is willing to go to the Yankees. I don't get it. Sure NY has the best chance to win but wouldn't it mean much more to go to Boston and win it then just be another player that went to NY and won?

Sherman - Randy has already beaten NY once. He doesn't have to do it again. Randy has won since NY has won last. AZ, Anaheim, Florida. Randy is ready to win it for whoever he goes to.

nothing really big....i was watching the game and as randy was walking into the clubhouse he told gonzo something and then gonzo went into the clubhouse after him. thats all i could see

and trust me that was nowhere close to an error....gonzo barely got to the ball and got it with the top of the glove but couldnt hold on.

Come on ! That was a pathetic attempt at a ball that almost anyone besides Jose Canseco could have caught. That ball was not over his head and should have been caught.
Also, Bonds has already hit 3 home runs off of Randy Johnson so let's put the blame where it belongs. This ball club has got old fast and Randy deserves to play for a contender !
I would love to see him go to Boston but Yanks will probably win the $$ battle again. I believe Johnson is history with Diamondbacks
