What have you found to be the best resources for beginning your pre-season work for CFB? Most of the print periodicals seem to be pure rubbish. I myself usually side with Blue Ribbon plus whatever is the best of a bad bunch of the aforementioned periodicals.

I'm interested to hear what more seasoned players use.

Thanks.

I like to use team web-sites and hometown newspapers of the major schools and conferences. As the season draws closer more information can be found in various local newspapers. An excellent link to all kinds of publications can be found at Johnny Detroit's Let it Ride sports.com.

Wil is correct about the most comprehensive information you can receive comes directly from newspapers and radio shows from the major schools hometown.

You can pick up their CFB mag off a magazine shelf at various stores for about $7 or another good magazine packed with tons of information is Phil Steele's CFB preview for about $8. I don't know much about his service, but I do know his magazine has plenty of info. on about every team including run down of each player, team vs. team 5 yr. result, angles & trends, ATS results, breakdown of offenses and defenses, and current schedule among other useful information. I'm not sure but I think this is the link if you need to order the magazine.

Phil Steele easily the best. The others are a waste of money for handicappers unless you need cheerleader pictures. Gold Sheet isn't bad either, sometimes Phil's logs are off and nice to read a second valued opinion that talks in gambler's mindset.
