I am headed there for a break from betting during All-Star break.

If so, any clubs, bars, or interesting attractions?

Thanks

You can't miss around there. Just ask the "too pretty" staff there, sure they could tell you better than most of us...

You have Maria Sharapova playing for the NewPort Beach Dukes about 100 yds from your hotel. You have ATP tennis this week at UCLA. You have the Olympic Swimming trials in Long Beach, you have Summer nba pro leauge in Long Beach.

You have a 9 hole course looking over the bay outside your room.

Restraunts- 50.00+ range I would go to The Arches about 2 miles south. Under 50 I would go to the Beach House for the Lobster Special 4-6pm about 10 miles north on pch in Laguna.

Golf- Pelican Hill, Starberry Farms, Monarch Beach, Aliso Creek.

Bars- You have one next door at Palisades Tennis Club.
Nightclubs- I dont do those but you have Woodys Wharf,Billys, Yankee Clipper, all within 2 miles.

Attractions- I would go to NewPort Beach for body surfing maybe 38th street, also 3 on 3 hoops across the street, often times with Rodman.

one problem, i won't have a car. we are really going to visit my my wifes family in Chino Hills. They are coming to pick us up.

but i figured, when else would be a great time, other than the all-star break.

i heard rodman lives in newport beach, and heard it is very pricey.

hopefully i can find somethings to do within walking distance. i may get a rental car while there, but she has not seen her aunt and uncle for over 10 years

thanks for all the information

Sorry Bucsfan67-

i was just trying to be funny. I was not able to change my name. It said access denied.

Big Bet-I'm serious about showing you around. Let me know if you still want to hook up. Do you play poker? There are some good Hold 'em games in town.

I hear the best time to go there is in the winter when it's warm and the rest of the country is cold. Lots to do there, I hear.

Why are you staying in Newport Beach if her famil is in Chino Hills? Sounds like you watch the OC too much.

Chino Hills is a good hour and fifteen minute (without traffic) from here.

There isn't a whole lot to do here in terms of entertainment. Most of that you have to go to Irvine or Costa Mesa for, and to go there you will need a car. Despite what you see on TV the club seen here is nonexistant.

There are some decent seafood places on PCH, but other than that you will be paying out the ass to eat out. You can also pretty much walk to Fashion Island from there

But the Newporter does have their own golf course, so that will definately kill a boring day.

All depends on what you are looking for. There is also the new mall up on PCh towards Crystal Cove, that has all the trendy shops and shit, and pretty much what the show portrays as "Newport Beach".

This is a nice lace to live, but as far as excitement goes, it is not a very happening place.

depends on what you consider entertainment?

I have spent most of my waking hours in life being entertained in newport beach.

playing 2 man volleyball on Orange Street
playing tennis on 56th street
playing hoops on 38 th street
surfing 35th street
breakfast at Cappys
fishing on the pier

Anyone who did not graduate highschool in SoCal is a toursit in my book.

Big Bet-

Well all I can say is that I tried to make contact with you. There is still an invite on the table for you to come to the Orange County Fair tonight and see Hobostank with us. Then just a hop, skip and jump for dinner at Hooters on PCH. Where are you????
