Ben Sheets certainly deserves to be in the top 3 based on his 1st half. Schmidt is the only one who you could say is equal or better to him, I'd take him right now over Big Unit or Rocketman.

How about David Newhan, biggest surprise this year?? He's got close to 100 at bats and currently hitting .424. Not bad for a 5-10 175 lb. guy who has a career .163 Major league average and has underwent shoulder operations in 2001 and 2002.

Scary to think MAN-RAM is 3rd with the year he is having, but I would tend to agree.

ps- Ted Williams did not win the MVP the year he hit .406!
