We just took a look at the National League pitching staff for Tuesday and its pretty good.
But we also considered the number of excellent pitchers who were not chosen...damn, the NL could likely pick from 20 excellent arms. I realize W/L record is a big part of AS pitching selections, so some of my names listed below don't make it due to that, but are lights out otherwise.
Including
Oliver Perez PIT
Al Leiter NYM
Eric Milton PHI
Cris Carpenter STL
Roy Oswalt HOU
Mark Prior CHC
Matt Clement CHC
who do you think were best 'near miss' pitchers in either league?
