My family has stayed at this place just off Encinitas Blvd for like 15 years straight. Used to be the Sanderling, then it was something else, I think it is all the way down to Best Western now. Still they have a free shuttle to the track if you don't want to hassle with the traffic, nice location from which you can walk to the beach or the town and will cost you maybe a third of that Hilton this time of year.
Ihave been looking ,go thru this every year. First you must find a place ,then bite the bullet at the cost.It gets a little easier as the meet goes on.HiltonLajolla Torrey Pines very nice about ten minutes .The place Wild Bill said is Best Western Encinitas Inn and Suites.I use to stay at Inns Of America Carlsbad for years .I use to pay $70 a night.Now #150.
