Anyone's guess. Kobe could play a little point but is most likely the full time 2 guard. Odom is set at small forward (3). Grant will need support at Power forward (4). Point and center spots are up for grabs. Look for the Lakers to sign a veteran center, perhaps Eric Dampier if they can afford him after paying Kobe. Bottom line only 2 and 3 spots are settled.

wow theyre gunna be stacked. . . compared to a college team. . .I feel bad for any team that has to play Butler. thats -12 points before the ball even gets tipped. Lakers -12 other team 0 12:00 left in the first.

Bozzi, no way can Odom play power forward. He is a point or small forward only. He cannot play against guys like Garnett, Duncan, Brand, Kirilenko, or now Kenyon Martin. Grant at center is a long shot, he looks to be a part time power forward at best in LA.

odom wont play them it will be grant who will be playing those guys....there is not a great post up center in the league right now(aside from shaq)...against the spurs odom can guard rasho...against twolves he can stay on candy or whoever they play at center, kenyon????? pls the guy has no half court offense anybody can guard him. they were alright playing like that in miami and they would give a lot of people matchup problems at the other end......thats the best lineup they can put out with the roster they have right now....they got ZILCH on the bench.

Rudy T. is the X factor here though. He is a great coach being paid a whole lot of money. He might be able to figure out things with this group others couldnt. It'll be interesting to see how he handles KOBE.

I say 45 wins at best for this team. They sound like they are getting built into another Mavs team, lots of offense and guys that generally don't care about defense. Four guys that can shoot, none that can get a big board.

Good point Rob,Rudy is a hell of a coach and besides, the guys that the Lakers have right now will not be who they start the season with. They are just a decent big man away from being a really good team.I think they'll get that big man(like Wil said, maybe Dampier) and Rudy will pull it all together. Not a championship team but deep into the playoffs I think.
