thanks fish, the game i play is pick'em. i have just about mastered it. i can play about 700 hands per hours on dancers software with only 1 mistake

Fish is to me one of the great ones as far as VP play, that being said, I think he often overestimates the play of the average and avid learner on the game. Whether or not he truly plays at the level he claims to (which is irrelevant, because I respect what he says), it takes lots of practice to achieve perfect or near perfect play on those games that represent positive EV and I know he will agree that this is not as easy as he lays it out to be.

As far as learning the game, dueces wild is really quite simple to learn but the major drawback will be you very very seldom find any machines higher than at the quarter level.
Consider how much you will be making with PERFECT strategy and playing 800 hands an hour at this level.

The game returns 100.72% with perfect play which means you would be making 72 cents per $100........so if your playing $1,000 per hour that would equate to .72 x 10 = $7.20 per hour profit.
The average slot card will add 0.25% to the game so that will get you to $10 per hour plus comps.
Hardly worth your time considering the tremendous amount of hours you have to put in and the tremendous swings you would encounter in a game like this.........$2300 swings are not uncommon.
This is PRECISELY why you will so much better off learning Double Bonus........because you will be able to find games providing you with a game offering up 20,30,50, or $100 plus per hour ON PAPER.
However, this game will be very difficult to learn and not many individuals have the desire or knowledge to learn this game.......VERY FEW.

Have you heard much about more places cutting off advantage VP players? I still read in so many places that part of the reason to do VP is the comps are added in, but I would think maybe more places are doing what they did at Motor City and just cutting off VP winners. Have you been hearing much about that or are casinos still letting winners continue without hassle?

Bill- As you know, I am basically retired from the game since leaving Las Vegas Valley 2 years ago.
However I still stay in contact with my friends who play professionly in Vegas and that is precisely what is happening.
There are still many good plays, but as time passes they, as well as me, see it becoming more and more hard to play the game professionly as more and more are learning the game.
More importantly though, more and more upstair casino personal are becoming aware of how lucrative the game can be to some people(God forbid anybody win) and they are clamping down and eliminating the good games and promos.
Still, it will always be a fun game to grind out a few bucks if nothing else............and have a little fun in the casino.

I totally agree. I think the vast majority of people that go to Vegas or any other casino area for a few days of fun would be well served to learn a game and play it. Even if they have to play a lesser game that only allows them to get to break even or close to it, they will over the long run end up far ahead of people just like them. I know a family member of mine that loves to gamble and she got herself into trouble occasionally doing it because she loved slots. I bought her one of the VP videos and she tried it. That got her into buying a few other books and understanding the comp game. Now she gets free rooms and plays a game that is nearly break even, maybe loses a bit but the money isn't a big deal to her as long as it is a modest amount. Imagine the financial difference between that and someone who used to play slots where she was lucky if the game was only holding 5% on her!
