update on rio sportsbook

they said they are still reviewing my account. they said to call them in the morning. even tho i requested a western union withdrawal and never got it, but they offered to send me my original deposit. I have faith they will pay and i will keep everyone updated. i was just wondering why my thread was moved, so less people are aware of the situation?

your thread was moved to the Disputes with offshore books forum, since it is a dispute with an offshore book....

Rio has stated in that thread that they are investigating your account for fraud, and i was assured by Mike that we will have an answer by Monday on the situation....

Just curious, how much did u deposit? and how much did u win? betting on what?

It's really not relevant in this situation.

The guy "rio shill" who is a poster here is genuine - so if everything is on the up and up who will get paid soon.

Have no doubt about Rio doing the right thing or being "genuine", i was just curious as to how much he won...

Must have been pretty good to deposit one day, and want to w/d the next, and willing to pay fees....I was just curious as to how he did it...

No alterior motives, just curiousity...

i would love for them to pull this one off, by telling im a fraud-which i know wont happen, because i didnt do anything wrong!!!! the quicker rio realizes this, the sooner it will end. This is truly a shame when i have to go through this. I have respect for rio that they will eventually pay me, but when clients lose thousands of dollars with them, do they investigate rio for being a fraud? Hopefully, they will have good news for me in the morning, and i will still do my business with them

this is just great, i have to wait till tomorrow because they say my account is fraud because i won a couple of horse racing bets and baseball games. I bet 3000 on the mets yesterday, why dont they investigate that game for fraud as well

Rio is a good book and deal with these matters fairly.If you're clean I have no doubt you will get paid.

Randy, not taking sides here but there is not enough information for people here, why not post your complete side with details. Ie. Amount and date of deposit. All wagers placed to date and details of any bonus received. That will give everyone here your side then we will see what Rio may have to say about it.

Rio is a great book, but my take on this situation, they need to pay regardless of what happened, unless he rigged a casino or something. As a bookie you live and learn, and without paying 1 person, your book can go downhill. Im sure rio will pay you, but you said you requested a payment yesterday, and now you have to wait till tomorrow to get a decision- no excuses. Pinnacle would of paid and moved on, but I guess Rio doesnt deserve to be in that group yet. Pay and move on is my advice. Bad press if u dont

Agreed. How many times does somebody complain (without offering any details) about a slow-pay, no-pay, etc. And then, a couple days later, we find out the "real" story?

Did they notify you before they froze/locked your account?

I understand why books have to do this. But some books freeze/lock accounts without notifying the customer, and that's definitely poor business. At the very least, they should send a quick email.

It sounds like "fraud" is simply an excuse to avoid paying someone who burned their asses fair and square. They should pay up and pay up immediately.
