Guys I was coming home late last night and had the back porch light on as I arrived. While walking up the steps to enter the back door I noticed huge spiders with these amazing webs in the bushes and along the outside railing of the steps.I know they build their webs in places where obviously there will be insects(like my outdoor light attracts) but I got to thinking about it and NEVER have I walked into one of these webs! Is it possible that spiders know where to build their web in an area of high volume insects but are smart enough to stay out of the way of our DAILY paths?

By the way,I HATE spiders with a passion! I'm just wondering if they are smart enough to survey an area before building that web so WE don't walk thru them and tear them down!
