quote:
"One of the proposals TOW intends to bring to the event is to have each site participating in the Alliance Project to committ to provide relief by distributing proceeds deriving from advertisement paid by the failed entity to players."

I like this idea. The concept of keeping ad money when players have lost their balances has always been an ugly one. Promoters would HAVE to think twice before taking on any book which is the way it should be.

quote:
Another proposal that TOW will bring to the table is to improve communication between participating websites in the event of a situation as combined efforts are usually more successful than individual ones.

I agree but it would depend what stes are in the alliance. SBR has purposely been fed false info to further agendas and we stupidly accepted the info. At the risk of spoiling the mood, I can say there are some soureces SBR will never again trust.

quote:
TheRX’s proposal for an Alliance Reccomended list is definitely a brilliant solution which on one hand leaves each website free to determine its own preferences but on the other combines everyones efforts into a general guideline for players.

I see no reason why we can't get this done. It's no secret what the top books are.

quote:
SBR’s proposal to refrain from promoting dubious operations is also a valid one and deserves to be implemented ASAP to the final benefit of Players.

This is not only good for the players but smart business imo.

Why dont we just all agree on a TOP 25 list and say screw the rest of the books?

Why??

Simple answer......because ALL, and I do mean ALL, watchdogs/forums/whatever have a hand in the cookie jar in one way or another or eventually want their hand in one.

I say the more INDEPENDANT watchdogs/forums/whatever all the players have access to is the best approach.

Hopefully, in certain cases, the sites can work together with who they see fit and work from there.

Please note, not saying 100% positively the "alliance" doesnt have a chance and applaud those trying if they really sincerely do not have any hidden agendas, but at this time I am not in the least bit convinced of that.

Fish you are 100% correct (didn't think I would ever say that

)

At the same time, a top 25 book list would really serve to choke off competition, which is not good either.

I think EVERY watchdog site should have a link to EVERY known watchdog/forum on the internet they know of.

Why not??

I know the RX has listed many other sites at various times in the forums.

SBR, perhaps you can start today by listing every forum you know of on the internet related to the offshore gambling world to allow readers to make their own judgements.

Here is a starting list.........

MAJORWAGER
THE RX
ULTIMATECAPPER
FANTASYBETZONE
OFFSHORE GAMBLERS DIGEST
CAPPERSTALK
CAPPERSMALL
BETTERS PUB
SBR
TOW
GAMBLING 911
STANFORD WONG
LAS VEGAS ADVISOR
PHOENIX SPORTS TICKET
MADJACKS
Bet2Gamble

These are some of the ones I personally look over everyday to learn what I can on the offshore world......have found them all USEFUL at one time or another.

There are many more that I did not list.

Thanks

Yes, I was being sarcastic in saying that.

Thats exactly why a list of 60 is not right either IMO.

PLUS, BOOKS CHANGE MONTHLY ON HOW THEY RATE!!

Some are VERY AVERAGE for one sport, and GREAT for another.

And I hate to say it, but a poll of posters who vote ona list is more unreliable than flipping a coin! you may as well just ask people in the street because your average poster has no concept of how to determine a book's risk

DRUNKGUY-- PRECISELY!!!

Plus, I would lay better then even money that you could make a top 30 list up with the most in the know people offshore and chances are one of those books will stiff somebody down the road in the not so distant future.

These are not BANK OF AMERICA operations we are sending our money to.

If most players did there due diligence and searched the forums for info on books and stayed with the tops books there wouldn't be much trouble. As well players should keep balances at low levels, Utilizing free payouts and such. So in the event that something did happen their exposure would be minimal at best.

Guys,

Does this seem very tough to pull off?

Yes indeed, but you are doing a huge misjustice to not await the meeting to take place and see if even 1 bit of good comes out of it for players. To have a close mind here is silly as there is always a chance that something can be accomplished.

There are a few ways to look at it. I am choosing optimism over doubt at this time.

If nothing else, it may open a better door of communication between the participating sites.

I have no idea why the thought is disturbing. It's just a preliminary meeting with some brainstorming.

I don't get the moaning at this time.

LOL!!

Listen, I know there are a ton of people with a ton more of intelligence than me that can put something like were talking about together and make it successful quite possibly.

I am just skeptical and pesimistic on the whole ordeal and I apologize for that........just me.

SBR- No hard feelings, you know I love your site!!

Here is a problem that truly needs to be addressed....

How do we as a group if possible, handle one of our own sponsors that is clearly slow paying?

I say take them down until EVERYONE is paid, period...

If would be nice to see a unilateral approach, but who knows?

General-

it's nice to get some of this stuff out in the open early so that everyone knows what needs to be addressed and wheree veryone as a whole stands. Obviously everyone cannot be at the meeting, so airing it out now is the best way for everyone to get their 2 cents in.

SHRINK-
Like you said, lets see what becomes of the meeting before anybody can analyze anything.

Is everybody going to be sober at this meeting??

I am way to ignorant to add anything contructive to a meeting of this sort(I am dead serious), but I am more than capable in analyzing the finished findings of this meeting involving the forum minds.

nice options if TOW can get it done.I would rather see him finish the BetPanAm fiasco before he starts focusing on something else personally.

Fish, congrats, I have often been hard or critical of those around here who do not speak up or voice their opinion on controversial matters. Glad to see you voicing your opinion on this matter even if it is not towing the company line....

That is what these forums are great for...

kudos to you...
