Need FAST Gaming Lessons

Hi guys.

We're off to our first casino ever in 44 years tonite as we celebrate the birthday of the long-suffering SheBar.

It's an offshore boat gimmick that rolls us out from St Petersburg to international waters and then full service casino for about 4 hours or so.

I have no illusions about beating any casino long term given the percentages, but of course I would like to make the best of my four hours.

I expect to stick close to the blackjack and craps tables, so I need help with direction to a crash course on the basics of playing both.

I have a working knowledge of both games, but would appreciate any Craps/Blackjack For Dummies type webpage youse can direct me to.

BJ basic strategy and craps pass line and come bet with full odds.

Both are about 1/2 a percent against you.

Card counting in 4 hours, that would be amazing!

Wonder if they allow you to take a strategy chart on those boats? All land casinos let you keep this credit card sized chart that gives you how to play every hand with basic strategy. By far the best way to do it if you can get one of those from a local bookstore quickly. Otherwise print one out from a website, like the Wizard one, and just hope they let you use that. For craps, just bet the pass line or don't pass line, both with odds.

My suggestion to people that don't have a plan is take the amount of what you are willing to lose and cut it in 15 to 20 units. If you are playing craps consider 10 to 15 units, but the unit is basically your line bet PLUS your odds, ie. $5 for the line and $10 odds is a $15 unit. Depends on the odds allowed and minimum bet of course, hope that their minimum bet isn't too high on that boat. Anyways if you lose 15 to 20 units in a night that would be my personal sign that it wasn't my night and I would stop playing.

BW taught me a strategy that only allows the house to have a miniscule advantage over the player in craps...

Bet the Pass line.
Follow it up with max odds..
Follow that up with 3 different COME bets whenever possible, and increase your amounts wagered as u start hitting numbers...
Once a come bet is hit, you place another wager on the COME, and always back your Come bets with Max odds as you do on the Pass line...

Sure u will lose all 4 bets, whenever a player 7 outs, but you are playing for one hot roll..

And for the record, the first time I played the strategy with one of his friends, I managed to lose 30k!!!

When betting craps I follow these guidelines

Bet

DON'T Pass when the dice are in the hands of someone ugly. i feel the dice want to get out of that person's hands as fast as possible.

PASS when they are in the hands of some hot babe. in this case - the dice want to stay in her hands as long as possible before they then go to someone ugly. the dice will be very nice to this hottie and as a result - you, too.

I know you lost 30 but wanted you to say it. When I went along with you doing it we were up 10 dimes and you wanted to quit but I said "send it." We did win a few dimes but had to go for the kill.

Always good to play pass line and come bets with full odds. Especially at places like the Nugget where they rate the odds(one of only three I know anywhere that does)

Krackman..just read where you said Nuggett rates the odds in craps...wow that is a good thing...especially for trying to get a freeby room for Sunday after the Bash...and certainly always good for a Buffett....c u there....Where I usually play...Horseshoe in Bossier they do not rate the odds as it is more in my favor than theirs...another intersting bit of info picked up at the Rx...
