Once Basic Strategy is mastered and you can count relatively proficient into a six deck shoe.. What is the best way to increase your wagers once the count gets high? and what is considered a basic high count?

Using a $2500 Bankroll.. any thoughts?

Assuming typical rules ie. double after split allowed, dealer stands on soft 17, bj pays 3-to-2, no surrender, you are even with the house when your true count is +1. The true count is the running count divided by the number of decks remaining.

The ideal betting structure is 1 unit at +2 (true count), 2 units at +3, 3 units at +4 etc. where the unit is at least 4 times the minimum bet. When the count is +1 or less you bet the minimum.

For a $2500 bankroll your unit should be about $25 which means you need to play at a $5 minimum table. If you expect additions to your bankroll regularly or if your time horizon is short ie. a couple of weeks, then you could make your unit $50 and play at a $10 minimum table.
