New England is -1.85 to win the NFC east. With Ricky retirement there might be some value to this.

Also win totals for the Dolphins is at MIAMI DOLPHINS 9 1/2 OVER -120 ...under might be a good play..

Williams’ surprise decision made for a busy Sunday morning for the linesmakers at Las Vegas Sports Consultants, who set the numbers for most of Nevada’s sportsbooks. They recommended their clients move the Dolphins’ odds of winning the Super Bowl from 15-1 to 20-1. LVSC also suggested hotels temporarily take down a regular season over/under prop on the Dolphins winning 9 1/2 games.

Those booking the over/under prop now face a problem. Figuring Williams doesn’t come back, Miami’s over/under wins number needs to be adjusted down to 9 or even 8 1/2. This, though, leaves the books open to getting sided and middled by arbitragers looking to bet both sides hoping the Dolphins finish 9-7.

Those booking this prop shouldn’t worry. The Dolphins won’t win eight games. I liked the Dolphins to go under nine victories even before Williams decided he could find happiness without making $3.5 million a year. Williams only managed 3.5 yards per carry last year, lower than 38 other runners, including Shawn Bryson, Marcel Shipp, Kevin Faulk, Rock Cartwright, Anthony Thomas and James Jackson.

First, consider the Dave Wannstedt factor. Why is this guy still a head coach? Even with a great defense and Williams, the Dolphins failed to make the playoffs the past two seasons.
