If you based his career after the age of 30 Edgar Martinez would be a lock to make the Hall of Fame....Perhaps the greatest hitter who's career really didn't fully kick in til he turned 32 yrs old (1995) Martinez (41) is now being benched for youth movement in Seattle...

Martinez hasn't batted above .265 in any month since April... and is only on pace for 11 homeruns 70 RBI, a huge drop for the DH deluxe....

Starting at age 32, Edgar has hit 242 HR's and averaged 104 RBI, while batting over.320...all after the age of 32.. Phenomenal hitting stats, for a righty with no speed and bad legs!

JMAN- Manny is 32 now........add what Edgar has done after the age of 32 to Mannys current numbers and see what you come up with.

Do the math.

I don't need to do the math...

I already dubbed him best righty and most devastating hitter!

The guy was a hitting machine.Never got the press he deserved.Probably because he kept his mouth shut and just played ball.

I saw a behind the scenes on Edgar once, he had some strange exercise habits... very detail oriented and specialized, he did all these eye exercises that he credited for making him such a great hitter...not many people would realize this , I'm not sure how many players work out their eyeballs
