Personnaly I never bet preseason NFL but that is just me. Usually very involved in baseball anyway. The problem arises when regular season NFL overlaps late season bases. I am not saying there is not money to be made with preseason football - I'm sure some have done very well. Best of luck to all this preseason.

Coaches play an important role in preseason. Some feel that it is important to actually win, and will do and put in players necessary towards the end of the game to try and get the Win, while other coaches simply use it as a measuring gauge........

I wonder how much action Michael Vick will see this preseason...

Atlanta's opening @ Baltimore, the the team Vick blew out his knee against a year ago......Its tough for these superstars not to play but when you see the team stud go down like that, it makes you wonder...

Remember Spurrier trying to score at all costs lol? Dennis Green is another predictable preseason coach...

So many changes J~man it's difficult to say. So many positions are question marks. Keenan McCardell holding out is a huge setback. Rookie Michael Clayton is slow as Christmas in my opinion, but could become the possesion receiver. Joey Galloway.....does he have it still to be a deep threat? Mike Alstott, will his neck hold up......Newcomers on Offensive line that should improve that area. Charlie Garner, what does he have left......I think defense slips even another notch this year. Sapp and Lynch gone, and Derrick Brooks and Ronde Barber aging a bit. Not to mention playing 2 games each against Carolina, Atlanta, and unpredictable Saints...Soooooooooo many question marks.....

Yeah Hache, thats what i was thinking...Galloway has been hurt more than healthy of late, injuries and age....Alstott too!

They remind alot of Baltimore after winning the Super Bowl, the teamed looked primed for maybe 3 in a row, but the in the NFL we know what those three letters really stand for ( 'Not For Long' )

It seemed like not too long ago Hache, you were trying to convince me (didnt work lol) that Brooks was better than Lewis...

Hey Hache atleast you got a ring man lol...

Sometimes, I feel there is no better time to bet football than the preseason, you get to know, with some real certainty, how long the starters will go for each team, and in many cases, its all you need to know to break the bank.

Then again, i have seen some unreal shit happen at the end of pre season games to cost me winners too.

lol J~Man, I tried to convince you at one time that Brooks was "as good" as Lewis, not better.

No doubt in my mind Derrick Brooks has been best outside linebacker in the game for a while. He isnt as vocal as the Middle~Man Lewis, but as fast, agile, can cover out of the backfield, and can lay some pops also. Remember, the former Defensive MVP linebacker Brooks almost broke NFL record for INT's returned to TD's on a season, actually had it, but the one to break the record got called back. Theyre both very smart players, but I know where youre coming from, it would still probably be foolish of me to say Brooks is better than Lewis.....

QB rotation always scares the hell out of me in exhibition, the slightest injury early and your looking at a 4th string lemon possibly playing most of the second half...

I had Cleveland very large a couple yrs ago...they were getting 7 and up by two Tds at the half, when one of the QBs got hurt right before half, and my old college QB nemesis Josh Booty (rookie at the time), came in to gift wrap the game for the other team GB...

I knew it was not good , Booty sucked at LSU, I knew he wasn't going to do anything but what he did best (throw picks) , I think two came back for TDs....

After that I went back to playing small for the most part in exhibition games...

Hache i always liked Brooks, even going back to his FSU days, I NEVER understood how he fell that far in the draft...

He was a steal...no doubt the heart of that Defense!

I still remember to this day J~man when listening on AM Radio to end of 1st round of NFL draft when Tampa Bay traded up to get Derrick Brooks later in 1st round, and this one guy calling the radio station and just blasting Bucs Organization for it saying he wasnt even worth a 2nd round pick, much less a 1st.....
