Nickname:"Blue", after his sister saw him choking as a baby.

His Game:
Edwards was a key bench player during the biggest part of his NBA career. He played 10 years in the league, providing his teams with scoring and great defense both as a shooting guard and a small forward.

His Career:
Blue was selected by the Utah Jazz in the 21st overall position of the 1989 draft. He played in Utah for 3 consecutive years and his scoring was improving each year: from 8.9 points in 1990 to 12.6 points in 1992.

In the summer of 1992 he was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks. Although he was a starter in his last year in Utah too, his role in Milwaukee was more important and Edwards had his only star-like season in the league. He finished the 1992-'93 season averaging 16.9 points, 4.7 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.6 steal, while shooting 51.2% from the field, 35% from the 3-point line and 79% in the free throws. The next year he had 11.6 ppg.

In 1994-'95 Edwards was traded twice, first from Milwaukee to Boston and then back to Utah. He was playing less than 17 minutes and scoring 6.9 points. The next 3 years he played for the Vancouver Grizzlies. The first year he was a starter, scoring 12.7 ppg and the following two he was the team's 6th man, scoring 7.8 and 10.8 points off the bench. His last year in the NBA was 1998-'99 when he played 24 games for the Miami Heat, scoring only 3.2 ppg.

Honors:
A member of the 1990 NBA All-Rookie 2nd Team, Edwards recorded the first triple-double in the history of the Vancouver Grizzlies (in his career too) in 1/3/96 with 15 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists.

Career Statistics:

704 games, 10.8 ppg, shooting 48% from the field, 78% from the free-throw line and 34% behind the 3-point line, 3.4 rebounds/G, 2 assists/G, 1 steal/G.
