Don't be so quick to close the book on Ricky Williams' career ... maybe.

Williams, whose world retirement tour stopped in Oakland last weekend to visit twin sister Cassie, told SI.com that he likes Oakland so much he'd consider resuming his career there -- maybe as soon as 2005.

Williams told SI.com "the only way I would" consider a comeback is with the Raiders. "I love Cali," the San Diego native said.

Williams cited the Raiders' strong offensive line as a reason he likes the Raiders, according to SI.com. Also in Oakland is head coach Norv Turner, his former offensive coordinator with the Dolphins.

Ricky smoked a little weed.

As for retiring, I can respect that.

Miami is very nice actually

Ricky apparently also tried to retire in 2001 telling the Saints he wanted to play baseball.

I don't think he likes Wannstedt, likes the way Wannstedt uses him as a battering ram giving him the ball 38 timesa a game and doesnt like Miami sorry pathetic excuse for an offensive line.

As a dolphin fan, I can't blame him if he feels like that. Wannstedt is a moron, it was one of the greatest mistakes ever in the NFL for him not to get fired after last year and it probably cost them Ricky by not firing Wannstedt.

Wannstedt always has that clueless look on his face during games and he doesnt understand the concepts of offense or putting distance between yourself and inferior teams. He lets them hang in there and ends up losing a couple games a year to weak teams who beat him late.

If Wannstedt has a tiny lead in the 3rd or 4th quarter, all he does is batter Ricky at people and punt to stick the other team back to protect his defense. If the other team gets a late score, Miami loses. Nice guy, bad coach.

No hope at all for Miami as long as Wannstedt is around, even if Ricky was there they were going nowhere this year

by retiring this year, and coming back in 2005, he gets out of paying a $685,000 fine to the nfl for failing his last drug test.
