A cold wind blowing through two storied college football programs could lead to nice profits for those willing to overlook some history.

It has been decades since these two schools last tasted a losing season, but it looks like Nebraska and Washington could do just that this year.

i agree with charlie on both programs being down.but if the huskies are only laying 3-31/2 against fresno at home in the opener i will have to play the huskies.fresno might have a tough time stopping the huskies running the ball.fresno is small up front imo.

Mike,

Just wondering, did Fresno come up with some injuries? Last I heard they had a couple of guys over 300 on the line and a couple of ends coming in around 250. That is plenty of size against a team with a line in lots of flux and was terribly inconsistent running the ball. IMO, Fresno should be favored, they closed last year strong, have a strong cast of returning players, and are generally a big money-making machine at these early season matches in supposedly tough environments. Compare that to the Huskies who have all the opposite factors going and have a conference game after this one. Getting over an FG is extremely generous.

One of Wild Bill's best to date.

My only nit pick is that Nebraska is lined at 7.6 games, and Wild Bill writes that they "might" win 6 games.

Can I have some over 5.5 -200 please? The above statement implies the line is off by 2 games, and lines simply are not that off.

However, based on the read I will agree Nebr likely should be lined at around 7 or under 7.5, -160.

Looks like a chunck bet under 7.5, +115.

If only all my predictions were as good as these, 1-8 ATS so far. I think I am going to back off and take my profits. I think the Huskies have found a running game and if they can stay healthy will probably cover their first game soon. Huskers obviously getting no love on the spread anymore as evidenced by today's number. I still think both teams are bad, but the value is surely gone now.
