I guess there are enough individuals out there from all kind of nations who could post the latest news for their team e.g. someone is hurt, exhausted or whatever. that would give potential olympic bettors some good infos.
for example i would avoid betting on germany in womens soccer against china tomorrow. they always had close matches and germany is always in trouble against them.
i mean you always here some news on your national tv others don`t get. so you could post it in a thread for each event. i guess most of you guys are not so interested in the olympics but here in europe and i guess for most parts of the world it is the most important sports event of the year. so it could be fun to bet on some events.
btw a nice chance in handball:
3 GERMANY +300 Team is loaded and they are due for winning another title. Germany won the European Championship and they could possibly go all the way for GOLD. The question is will that team party during the olympics or play handball. I still remember a couple of years ago the German hanball team was in trouble during the olympics because the were totally drunk in the olympic village and and they had some great parties. that is why they were eliminated pretty early but the current team is way different.
Rowing Men`s Eight:
Despite having a great team in the past Germany had some problems this season. Some late changes in the team did help in some way but they are not worth betting on them @ + 315
However it will be close between Germany and Canada . Due to a weather phenomen it is highly possible that the races will start at 6 am and the distance will be 1000 m instead of 2000 m. In that case it is even possible that a non favourite nation like the USA or Australia could win.
Basketball:

Beach Volleyball
4 DIECKMANN M / RECKERMANN (GER) +1203 (despite the fact i don`t think they make it they played some great games, reaching the semi in the last touney and losing in 3 sets against RICARDO / EMANUEL (BRA). They are in great shape and are tough fighters.
