WagerOnSports.com has created individual odds on several countries having one of their athletes be the first to test positive for a banned substance at this year’s Summer Games. China has been tabbed the early favorite to have the first athlete fail a drug test in Athens at 5/1 odds followed closely by Russia at 8/1. Following on the heels of the BALCO scandal which implicates several American athletes of doping, WagerOnSports.com has listed the United States at 15/1 odds to be the first country to produce a positive test in Athens.
In addition to this bet offer, WagerOnSports.com has a host of other Olympic betting options including odds on how many medals Michael Phelps and Marion Jones will win; how the USA men’s basketball team will fare, and who will win gold in the men’s and women’s 100 meters, among several others.

It's too bad Ricky Williams is not going to the Olympics, otherwise it'd be a lock.

I think the US at 15-1 is a decent wager. Not to knock my fellow Americans, but the whole world is out to get us in the Summer games and a good positve test would be par for the course

I think US at 15-1 represents VERY good value on this bet.
The favorite to win the decathlon is a huge overlay as well.

Does the Kenyan boxer sent home yesterday count as the field or do we have to wait until after the opening ceremonies?

I'm leaning towards one of the bearded East German "female" swimmers.
