Guys- Yesterday I contemplated starting a thread asking you guys(and any other posters in the Dallas area) if you would like to meet up and attend the Rangers game together since I would be coming through there on my drive back to Tampa.

Well, spent a little more time in New Mexico than I had planned and blew it off.

BIG MISTAKE for a couple of reasons.

First thing is I would have talked you guys into betting something on the Rangers as a nice home dog of +115 or better and we would have been laughing all the way to the bank with the 16-1 Ranger romp.

Secondly, we would have witnessed a piece of baseball history firsthand...............

MARK TEIXEIRA HITS FOR CYCLE, ONLY 245th PLAYER EVER TO DO SO IN M.L. HISTORY

After becoming just the second player in Texas Rangers history -- and first in more than 19 years -- to hit for the cycle, Mark Teixeira tried to contain his emotions.

"Anytime you're up 16-1, you never want to show the other team up, show too much on the field," Teixeira said.

Teixeira went 4-for-5 and drove in a career-high seven runs in a 16-4 rout of the Cleveland Indians on Tuesday night as the Rangers stretched their winning streak to five games and gave Scott Erickson his first victory in more than two years.

Teixeira hit a two-run double in the third, a three-run homer in the fourth, a two-run triple in the fifth, and a leadoff single in the seventh for the club's first cycle since Oddibe McDowell accomplished the feat on July 23, 1985, against the Indians at Arlington Stadium.

"I was definitely happy and excited inside, but you don't want to be celebrating in a situation like that," Teixeira said

Cool!

I remember driving through there on the way out.

If I had more time, I would head down your way for a bite to eat and a drink.

How far is Biloxi from Canton?

That is where I want to be tonight.
