Anyone read any predictions at the half way point or so. How many will the USA end up with
(under 104 1/2 I hope??) or is it looking over? Any projections out there? Thanks!

The media had predicted the U.S. to possibly win around 100 medals or more before the start of the Olympics, but after a few days of competition many have said we will not reach 100 unfortunately. So far the U.S. is leading China by 2 Gold medals and 4 total medals overall.

USA 40 medals
China 36 medals
USSR (lol) 28 medals

What amazed me was this white guy named Jeremy Wariner running the 400. Man, I never seen a white guy run that fast. Can't wait to watch him in the semifinals and finals the next couple days.

The USA womens team won the Gold...and to think I was cracking on Russia last week with only 28 total medals. Well at least the USA Olympians proved they could win 100 total medals and Cael Sanderson proved he is still an unbelievable and undefeated wrestler despite his slender non-muscular build. Not too be out done by Wariner who is by far the fastest white boy on the planet.

USA 34 38 28.......100

RUS 23 26 35........84

CHN 31 17 14........62
