take it easy, no need to worry. Fish is by far the superior hard court player. There is no way Massu wins 3 sets against Fish. I took Fish LARGE this morning.

Plus Massu should definitely be tiring by now. Played until 3am last night!

Fish was a false favourite here as per my earlier post:

- inferior big match record.
- inferior tie break record.
- inferior 5 set match record.

The only issue was whether Massu's efforts in the doubles would have tired him, otherwise a close match was always likely I thought.

I would not have hedged as well, or maybe bet like $200 against Fish

im sick over that match. never wanted a match more. I hedged out at +140 1/3 of it so i OK I did all right but I just wanted my big play, my 15 minutes of fame, my longshot shocker to win for once so I could claim I had the big score. The Chile Rope a Dope worked like a charm and seemed to get Fish to overhit and make so many unforced errors on groundstrokes. The Chile guy was obviously in fine shape for the second half of the match but kept playing that rope a dope thing and got that crowd behind him. Like a poor mans Walt Frazier attempt. It worked for him and in the 5th set its all about emotions and mind games as much as power and skill. I guess Im a little bitter as I tasted the win there but did not get it. Not eating seafood for dinner tonight I Can tell you that. More like canned Chili (no beans). Well Ill look for another 80-1 longshot I guess. Thanks for everyody who had ideas, support and stats on how to play this thing out over the past couple days.

That is why you were 80-1 no wonder.

thats nothing. My brother in law knows a USa olympian (Archery) who started the sport from scratch 1 1/2 years ago only and made the USA olympic team!! Granted he did not do squat but how cool would it be to be on the USA team at the Olympics???

I say for 2008 we try to have an RX poster make the Archery team. If they start now that is 4 years, thats a lock (not a 100% lock for you people who do not like that term). Everybody kick in $500 to get him some start up training funds..... or get Skybook to sponsor it!

Massu is a real gutsy player who has been a bit off form lately. last year I made stacks on him by such results as him dumping Roddick out in Madrid at +700 for the match.

My feeling is that there was a lot of mug betting on Dent & Fish from folk who normally do not bet tennis, and this was reflected in the prices being posted on these 2 guys.

In general, there is good money to be made by opposing US players at suitable moments, e.g. I was on Muller to beat Agassi at 7 to 1 or so in the Legg Mason.

At 6 or 7 to 1, you only need to win about 1 in 4 or 5 times on average to make decent returns.
