Does anyone reliably play sides based on weather forecasts?

Those nasty blowing snow Patriots/Pack home games in december or a particularly windy night at wrigley (25 mph winds blowing out tonight) come to mind as possibilities for an advantage.

Absolutely weather is an important factor when handicapping football. Even early in the season games in places like Arizona weather can effect outcomes because of intense heat. Natrually late season brutal cold and snow are the classic weather factors. I recall the Jets beating the Steelers 6-0 last December in what was a miserable day and a perfect example of what bad weather can do to a football game.

Personally I think the affect of weather on football is way overrated. However talking 25mph winds at Wrigley blowing out,yes that is a huge factor for myself.

Talking about Wrigley, what's the rain like tonight? No chance of calling the game I hope. I have Cubs -1.5.

Looks like the tarp is off at Wrigley and they are ready to resume play

Good. Talking about rain we're having a major Pacific storm tonight just like winter. Really annoying because there's so much rain its taken my satellite dish offline.

There were some profitable totals in the Yanks, BoSox series during the "typhoon" in the Bronx.

One game there was 40 MPH gusts blowing in.
