Am I wrong to get so much joy watching Doyle Brunson kick that punks ass on ESPN last night? That was a clinic. God I hate the crew aka circle jerk central

Why do these young guys have to be so fucking arrogant, pompous, self-righteous. I mean trash talking and trying to throw your opponent off a bit is fine and all but these guys especially Fishman seem to have no respect except for anyone but themselves and I even question that.

Zip,
You are so right. Fischminn is the biggest loser I've seen in a long time. At least Helmuth is funny when he acts like a little baby. That crew is a bunch of fags if I've ever seen it.

in response to sharky's question:

one reason...they know they are on tv.

just like those moron sprinters that pound their chest and dance when they win the gold medal in athens. or, every time some idiot dunks in an nba game.

gotta protect my rep as a player yo.

The other reason they act like that is that they haven't had the shit slapped out of them for being a punk. Someone ought to slap their ole man in the mouth for not beating their asses when they were growing up.

fishman just looked in awe of brunson..for someone who's that arrogant, it seemed like he just froze mentally when he was heads up with brunson...fishman seems just like alot (not all) the internet players, no card reading skills, just shove and pray to catch a better hand...

It's this sense of entitlement they seem to have that pisses me off. It's like their saying O.K. were a group of loudmouths so move over. Screw that noise. I swear that i read somewhere that Dutch Boyd screwed alot of people regarding an internet sight. If that is true no wonder he wants to travel in a pack.

The Dutch Boyd reference would be a site called PokerSpot. You can do a search on it to get the gory details.

any group that calls themselves "the" anything should be slapped hard.

that goes for:

the crew
the posse
the 3 amigos
the tripletts

Couldn't agree more. Dolly schooled that punk to perfection. Fischman needs to learn that humility is a virtue. You never see the TRULY great players acting like babies or know it alls (except for Hellmuth of course). What goes around comes around for Mr. Fischman.

If you want a group of poker players to emulate as role models, dump the Crew and look at the Hendon Mob. All English guys that are great players and gentlemen as well.
Of course, in poker like sports usually the showboats get the most attention.
Who would you rather have at cornerback in their prime, Deion Sanders or Darrell Green, at receiver Billy Johnson or Art Monk?
Get my point.

Act like you've been there before people.

I loved the way Fossilman shunned the "Mouth" when he was talking his smack.

"Walk tall and carry a big stick".

Not that I like Fischman's antics but to just call him an internet player who just shoves in is very incorrect. The guy won 2 bracelets, he won the HORSE tourney, which is the toughest tourney to play. He has won other big tourneys this year and made some good finishes. The guy also beat death a couple years ago I read, but I still don't like him that much, but he is a great player.

having never seen fishman play except in the wsop..i remember his comment when brunson shoved with his kings, fishman (holding AK) murmurs something like" i wish i would have done that."...like a typical net player, instead of trying to analyze the situation, he just wishes he was not in that situation..the kid never put brunson on a hand..there was a shove before brunson shoved, would brunson try to bluff with a k high going against an allin?..granted no one knew the guy was trying to steal with 9 high, but chances are you don't bluff with an allin preflop..besides after the hand, fischman said he thought brunson had queens...if i'm holding ak and thought my opponent had queens, there's NO WAY i'm risking my tournament on that hand...fishman, mite be a great player, but i didn't see it...

he also laid down AK earlier to Brunson when he put him on QQ. He laid down QQ I think also in the no limit tourney he won, but I dont know, he won 2 bracelets and has cashed other big tourneys, he must be pretty decent.
