If the gov't defeated us, and shut down all internet wagering, would you move to Vegas? How important is betting to everyone?

Hypothetical only as the Govt will Never stop us. Some may get scared and stop, but if you want to play you will be able to play.

I wouldn't stop either. I would have an offshore bank account to facilitate wagering transactions.

Fish- You must have really gotten sick of the town, huh? I'm considering moving there, but I'm aware that some don't like living there, even though it is the coolest place to visit. When you were there, did you ever place bets at the properties, or could you always find a better line offshore?

Lots of great lines to be found in Vegas........they are often very slow to move a line that has allready moved offshore.

No need for me to live in Vegas anymore, as I am semi-retired.

I guess the culture of Vegas just really appeals to me. That gambling is as legitimate as anything else. Where you can get a pastry and a parlay in the same building. Where you can walk up to a bank teller and deposit 2K in cash, and you don't get looked at like you're a drug dealer. I really want to deal craps, too, and Vegas seems like the best place to do that.

Illini,

I lived in vegas a few years ago, and for me, the strip and big casinos got boring. I wound up spending most of my time in smaller local places, and hitting the road on the weekend and going over to St.George, Utah to play some golf for a fraction of the vegas cost. Same thing with Costa Rica. It used to be like wild on E and now it's just plain old home.

Hey Huck, are you a casino dealer, or were you in Vegas?

Illini,
At the time, I wasn't working and had more money than brains so I took a year and a half off from the real world and just played.
Don't get me wrong, Vegas is the bomb and I love vacationing back there in the off season.
