Only Olympic has a line on this race right now that I can see. mens 5000 m

this guy is pretty good (legond really in middle distance racing) and I know this is a double that never gets won in the olympics (1500 and 5000 m) but is the price fair for a shot or is he really 50-1 and this is just posted to suck up some square money who have heard his name?

533 Hicham El Guerrouj (Mor) +1200

thanks guys!

El Guerrouj is in tough with Bikele who set the world record in the 5k and 10k this year (May 31 and June 8) and the way he ran the 10k to win the gold, he hasn't lost his sharpness. El Guerrouj actually holds the 2k WR but he set that years ago in 1999. I think Kipchoge has a better shot. If the race is slow, then El Guerrouj has a chance but I think Bikele takes it out fast.

12:1 is underpriced, IMO. I personally took 6:1 earlier. This is his farewell to the Olympics race, he is trying for a historic double and already has the comfort of getting the monkey off his back with the win in the 1500. He has the speed to outkick anyone else in that race, it is just a question if he is conditioned enough. I think he has a decent chance, esp. if the first half is slow, as someone suggested.

I heard today that El Guerrouj ran the second fastest qualifying time with shoes that were a size too small and he was in pain the whole way. Could be head games with the competition but if so, damn he is ready. I agree that Kipchoge is good value as he has already beaten El Guerrouj and Bikele for the 5000k world championship last year and is still a kid with only 4 years experience. Kipchoge is decent odds, around 5:1 if you can find him. No value is Bikele at all, he is a huge favorite, around -350. All three have an even chance at winning, IMO. Take the value plays with El Guerrouj and Kipchoge and hope Bikele falls or something

That 12:1 payout must be feeling pretty good for you by now!!
